"this is so pretty" phil said and smiled as he looked up at the sky that was filled with sparkling colors from a few fireworks that were fired early.
"yeah" dan smiled and looked at phil, looking at his face that was lit up by all the fireworks.
"ten! nine!" people suddenly started chanting around them and they quickly joined in.
"eight! seven!"
dan stood closer to phil and wrapped his arms around him.
"i love you"
"i love you too"
"three! two! one!"
not even a second after that, dan and phil's lips collided softly against each other.
"happy new year" phil said quietly, kissing dan again.
