This World Is An Ugly Place

Ava's POV:

I came home from school that day and saw my mom and dad in the living room, I was automatically concerned. "Ava we have to talk" Great what now? I sighed and sat down between them.

"Ava we are concerned about you" My father began.
"We heard you puking this morning" my mother continued. I closed my eyes in defeat,

They found out... God Dammit!

"We just need to understand what is wrong, why you do this" said my father in a calm tone. He threw his tattooed arm around me, the colors of his tattoos became blury as my eyes filled with tears. I traced the stars on his wrist to calm myself so I could continue.
"Is is someone at school?" My mom asked?
"No" I replied
"Is it someone on the bus" asked my father.
"No"
"Please tell us Ava, we want to help you" pleaded my father. I began tracing the stars again and finally, I broke
"I do it because...." I paused for a moment.
"Because I don't like the way I look at all."
"To me I am a disgusting creature to human nature." I answered.
I looked at my parents and they were both crying, my father pulled me even closer to him and hugged me tighter. I hugged him back and kissed his cheek, my mom joined in and I kissed her too.
"We are going to help you Ava" said my mother sincerely,
"No matter what happens we will be there."
"I can try to take off of blink for a minute to spend more time with you too." My dad added.

"Thank you" I said
"Of course"

The next day at school I found Jack sitting at the same table. I sat down across from him with a smile. He looked up and smiled back a sad smile, that concerned me more than it should of.
"Are you ok?" I asked concerned.
"I'm alright I guess" he responded.
There was a long pause before he finally gave in and told me.

"My parents found out about..." he motioned toward his arms. I gave him wide eyes,
"What did they say?" I asked. "They are going to try and get me help" he said.

"My parents found out about my eating problems" I admitted
He gave me the same look and asked me the same thing.
"My dad said hes gonna take a break from blink"
There was a long pause until Jack spoke up.
"Whats going to happen about the band?" He asked. I stopped, I didn't think about the band.
I'm such a fuck up" I thought.
"Ava" "Ava you okay?" Jack waved his hand in front of me. I snapped out of my gaze and looked at him.

"Whats going to happen to blink?"
