Marks POV
The next day I decided I was going to talk to Travis about the incident with Jack, I was trying to figure out the nicest way to confront him since he can be kind of distant, but I think it's just because he's quiet.

"Hey Travis" I said in a cheerful tone, hopefully lightening the mood a bit.
"What's up Mark?" He replied nicely Thank God he's in a good mood I thought to myself.
"I wanted to talk about something, it's kind of a problem between our kids." I stated. He nodded in response letting me continue.

"Jack came home late from school yesterday covered in bruises and awful names written all over his face in sharpie, when I asked him what happened he told me that Landon and his buddies did it to him." "He also told me he's been picking on Ava too, Tom's daughter." I finished hoping I didn't leave Travis too upset. Travis thought a minute then spoke.
"I don't think Landon would do something like that" he protested. I looked at him truthfully.

"Travis, my son has been going through a lot right now, he's inflicting violent behaviors on himself, it pains me as a parent to watch my child go through that and not know what to do." "I'm just telling you what Jack told me" I spoke seriously trying to get through to him. Travis looked angry at me.

"I know my son and he wouldn't do that, so either you start telling the truth or you can look for a new drummer" he told me angrily. I couldn't believe what I was hearing Was he really going to leave because of this?
"But I am telling the truth" I informed. As soon as I said that, he said "I'm done" and with that he left and never came back.
I just stared into space.
We lost our drummer.
