Marks POV
I went out for groceries when I received a text from Tom, which was odd because we normally didn't talk outside of the band.

Tom: Hey idk where you are but I think you should get home right now, Ava told me Jack text her saying goodbye that he couldn't do it anymore. That doesn't sound good to me, please answer me asap and let me know.

My heart stopped.

I ran to my car and drove as fast as I could trying to get home. I called Skye and told her what was going on and she was rushing home as well. Millions of things rushed through my head, him saying he didn't want to go with me because he had "homework" the warm tight hug.

The hug.

I started to cry, things became blurry and I couldn't see very well to drive, so I tried to stay as calm as possible until I got home.
I finally got home and practically broke the door trying to open it.

"JACK!" I yelled
The house was quiet and I got really scared.
"JACK" I screamed and started running to his room. I opened the door and saw his bed made, and the room was clean and smelled of air freshener. I noticed the bathroom door was shut and my blood turned cold.
I braced myself and tried to open the door.

Locked

I broke the knob and heard the shower running. I approached slowly but quick and opened the curtain and saw my life flash...

"SKYE GET IN HERE NOW" I yelled as she just got home a few moments after me.
She ran in and saw everything, she passed out a moment and just started balling.
I called 911, they said they'd be here soon. I pulled my son to me and he wasn't breathing, I checked for a pulse or warmth or any sign of life.

Nothing

I hysterically started to cry, There was so much blood everywhere, I prayed to God that he'd be ok, he was all I had, he was a part of me.
I saw a note left on the ledge of the tub, chills filled my body once again, I didn't dare to read it, not yet at least. I slipped it into my pocket, it felt like a rock.

The paramedics finally came and took him to the hospital, Skye and I rode in the back of the ambulance and I called Tom to bring the car, that we would explain everything later.

We finally got there and they gave Skye and I a bunch of papers n shit we had to fill out, stuff about mental health, physical etc. I was too worried to concentrate but managed to get them filled out.

"Hoppus?" A nurse said
"That's us" I said standing up
"We have your son all set up in a room, we would like to keep him overnight to see if he's really ok, we wrapped his whole arm, the cut was extremely deep requiring about 25 stitches, but we managed to get it all stitched up and put on meds for the pain" she explained.
"Could we see him please?" Skye asked
"Of course follow me" she told us and lead us to his room.

We got to his room which was white of course with some blue octopus on the walls. I looked at him for a moment and almost started crying again, he looked so peaceful sleeping, but I knew he was in lots of pain inside. I felt like a failure as a parent not doing anything.

I couldnt help but stare at him when he opened his eyes a bit.
