Avas POV

When I got to school, I saw Jack, I ran to him and practically jumped into his arms.
"Are you better now"? I asked excitingly.
"Yes I feel amazing now" he told me.
I couldn't believe it, my bestfriend was finally back at school and maybe now I won't get picked on as much.
"What did they do"? I asked curiously.
"They talked to me and said when I have those thoughts then to talk to someone, and think about the people I'd leave behind" he said. I hugged him. "I'm sorry you have those thoughts sometimes" I told him. "Its not your fault" he replied.
We remained in a hug for a while until we heard an all too familiar voice behind us.

"Awe look its the suicidal emo back at school reuniting with his girlfriend" he said in a taunting voice. I wasn't worried anymore like I used to be, Landon didn't mean anything to me anymore, but it still pissed me off that he called him a "suicidal emo" Landon just has no clue.
Just then Landon started walking toward me, once he got to me he pulled a knife out of his pocket. "Whats your 'boyfriend' gonna do now? He's on watch now since he can't control himself, looks like you're on your own again" he said as he raised the knife to my neck. Jack started toward him full of rage when all of a sudden...

"LANDON ASHER BARKER WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING?" yelled an angry voice causing us all to jump and turn to find Travis standing there. His normal pretty blue eyes weren't so pretty anymore, it was kind of scary. "Give me that knife" he commanded. Landon walked slowly toward his dad and handed him the knife. He grabbed the back of his shirt and brought him over to me. "Apoligize to both Jack and Ava NOW!" He yelled drawing even more attention. Tears filled Landon's eyes as he looked at me. "I'm sorry for all of this, I shouldn't of done any of this, especially to a girl" he said sincerely. "Its ok" Jack and I agreed in unison and pulled him into a group hug.

"What are you even doing here anyways" Landon asked.
"Well, you forgot your lunch money, so I brought it to you, while walking in on you calling Jack names." He explained. "I decided to watch for a minute to see if it was really my kid because I know I raised you better than that" he said. I decided to leave the 2 of them to talk while Jack and I went off to hang out before the bell.
