She thrashed against their hold, but their grip kept tight. "Let me go!" she kept screaming as they pulled her along through the hallways. The thrashing was quickly tiring her, and soon she gave up and allowed them to drag her to where they were taking her. They rounded the corner through a large doorway and that's where they stopped, for that moment anyway.
"Lady Natalie! We've found one of those bandits! She's quite the fighter too," the first guard who had started chasing me spoke rushed as if he was afraid of this 'lady' he was speaking to. I didn't want to look up. My scarf had fallen down and I couldn't put it back over my nose with my hands bound by the guards. And they thought I was a bandit. Truth was, I was just passing through the village, as a normal person. But apparently, they don't trust any visitors. This 'Lady Natalie' didn't seem fond of bandits either...
"Where did you find her?" she demanded.
"She was just standing out in the open, m'lady. Not trying to hide at all. Just... Standing there," the first guard's companion answered.
"I'm not what you think," I muttered, doubting they heard me.
"Interesting," she said, paying no attention to my remark. "But where was she? Not how was she hiding. Where was she? Perhaps if she was in the open that much, she might have been close to their base, thinking she could escape!" Ok, she was way too excited now.
"Hey! Listen," I began, still on the floor, being held by the wrists, "I'm no bandit, and I have no idea where this 'secret base' you're talking about is. I doubt you believe me, but it's true," I sound like a fool. Great. They'll totally believe me.
(So Um, this is a part of a backstory for one of my characters.)
