Running through the forest

Aaron POV

Killing her would put me in a difficult position with my mother, as she was the pack leader, her word was law. A damn human girl, weak, with nothing to her name. One couldn't help but feel disgraced when paired with that. There was not one in the pack that would welcome her. Yet it was not in my nature to kill children or torment them for that matter.

I stood there, god knows why, heck I wanted to kill this girl! But there she was in the water gasping for air, her back to me, exposing a scar bigger than her small body.

Soft rose colored lines, entangled in each other formed something like flower on her back, burnt into the skin, it couldn't have been a normal incident with something so detailed, but why would someone burn a flower in her soft, pale skin?

Before I realized it she had hoped on her horse and was on the run, Leon standing silent, confused on the river bench looking at me and then again at the disappearing girl.

I shook off the image of her silvery eyes and her fragile body, a growl erupted deep in my chest and I let it out, shreding the linen that covered my legs, sprinting into the woods to pursue my prey.

Mellow's POV*******

A loud howl came from behind where the waterfall lied, already too far behind to be seen with human eyes, but he probably could see me, and if not see, at least smell me.

Aslan pranced though the forest like white lightning, the icy wind cutting in my skin as I tried to cover some of my body with the nightgown I had left on his back, thank god I had.

Aslan cried out, panicked like I had never seen him.

Aaron was near, I looked around but I couldn't make out anything in the brown and greenish surrounding. My heart was racing, and my breathing labored while I waited to be ambushed by a bear tall werewolf.

THEN.

A cracking sound. A growl like laughter. And a freaking tree falling from the sky! I pulled on Aslans mane who turned left, the dead tree fell in front of us with a crashing sound, scaring us booth.

We were motionless staring with labored breaths on the tree, it looked like something had just pulled the whole thing with its roots out of the ground!

"Got you!" my head snapped up, I stopped breathing, between branches was Aaron smirking down to us, ready to jump and reap our heads. Human, monster and human again, one could only wonder how often they could repeat this cycle.

The mighty horse under myself reacted faster, spinning around and running to other side before I gave him any commands. I kept my eyes glued on Aaron who changed back into the beast, with pitch black fur and its beautiful golden eyes were fixed on mine. I would have thought it was beautiful but well,...

he was after my life!

"Aslan!" I pulled right on his mane and he knew where I wanted him to go, the bushes from the east were still growing and branches hung lower in the east woods, it would be problematic for something so giant that had to move fast on top.

It only took us moments before we had to slow down. Completely out breath Aslan bent down in the bushes, while I put on my dress properly and then hid him behind some more green twigs.

"Be silent and stay here. I will be fine." I whispered in his ear, kissing his head before creeping away,

always ducked and hidden between everything the forest had.
My friend would be fine, I was the pray but it felt like together we made just a bigger target.

I ran and ran without hearing anything but my shallows breaths and heart drumming in my chest.

Still, I couldn't help but feel observed and this feeling made my blood freeze inside my veins, which didn't really help the problem that it was cold, and my whole body was turning blue.

When I was out of Aslans hearing range I found a little doe, all alone nibbling on some branches. I smiled devilishly to myself, pulled my nightgown off and crept nearer to the doe.

When I was near enough I threw the thin fabric over its head! Scared it ran away without seeing anything through forest and I went the opposite side. The thin fabric was usless and moist from the water. Nothing could help me in this cold.
Within moments I heard the poor animal shriek and then it quieted down.

He was here.

-----------Aaron

The girl was amusing me, I would have never thought a mere human could run away from me longer than a few seconds. Now this child was leading me through the whole east European forest!

The bushes were annoying me, the different scents seemed to swallow her, but I still smelled her- a clear scent of herbs, rain and sweat, I was coming nearer, no, she was coming nearer!

I transformed back, hiding behind a tree and smelled the air again, she was coming from the north west.

Trembling feet and a fast beating heart was just behind me. I smiled at myself readied myself to jump on her,

counted backwards to zero...

three,

two,

one,

and jumped at!...

A deer?!

In my arms squirmed a small doe, over its head the girls gown, I felt furry rising in myself and snapped the animals neck out of anger. The animal body hit the floor with a small thumb.

The girl wanted to play, so let's play.
