Four hours later, Trevor sat still, leaning all the way back in his seat. The kids were busy playing with toys and each other. Surprisingly they weren’t as annoying as Trevor thought. India was doing most of the work, running back and forth tending to the children, but she didn’t seem to be stressed. Trevor’s seen plenty of people strain their selves dealing with kids, which was why he’s shocked that India appeared to be having fun.

As Trevor continued to watch India, a small toddler came up to him and tugged at his pant leg. Trevor glanced down, seeing the child stare at him. “What you want man?”

“Bathroom,” the kid said. Trevor sighed under his breath and motioned for the boy to follow.

“Yo India,” he called out, catching her attention. “Imma take this lil dude to the bathroom.”

“Hold up,” India replied. She got in front of the room, getting everyone’s attention. “If you need too go to the bathroom raise your hand,” She announced. Trevor witnessed a barrage of tiny arms fly in the air. “Alright, line up in single file and follow Trevor.” The children jumped up and sprang into an unorganized line behind Trevor.

“…Damn…” Trevor muttered. He led the small army of kids out of the room and toward the bathroom. While walking some of the children began to get really loud, which got on Trevor’s short nerves. He spun around with fire in his eyes. “Aye!” he searched through the crowd and pointed at the main one who caused ruckus. “Be quiet,” he growled, but he really wanted to say ‘shut up’. “Matta’ fact, all ya’ll be quiet. This aint no field trip, we goin’ to the bathroom.” Sense most of the kids were kind of scared of Trevor; they shut their mouths instantly. Trevor grinned, liking the obedience. He marched the group to the two restrooms that were side by side and kneeled down to the children’s level, exchanging stares from each of them. “Aye check this out. Ya’ll go in one at a time. That means one boy in the boys. And one girl in the girls.” He commanded. “You got that?” Some of them nodded while others just stood there. “Ight, gon and go.”

Despite what Trevor just said, two boys rushed the men’s bathroom. Trevor jumped in front of the door and snatched one of them up. He held the four year old with both his hands; bringing him up to his face.

“Man what don’t you understand about that?” Trevor questioned, looking the toddler in the eyes. The boy laughed in a mischievous manner. He was the same boy from earlier Trevor had to tell to be quiet. “You a bad lil joka’ huh?” Trevor smirked. He placed the kid down, but hung tight to his shirt. “You goin’ last lil nigga.”

“ohhhh, you said a bad word!” a small girl exclaimed, pointing at Trevor.

“That aint no bad word,” Trevor snapped. The little girl looked at him in disbelief.

            “My mommy said…”

“You wanna go last too?” He interrupted. The girl zipped her mouth and shook her head. “Ight then. It aint no bad word.” A few kids snickered in the line. Trevor glanced at his watch and saw it’s almost been five minutes and two boys had already went to the bathroom, but the girl was still in there. He decided to wait another minute before he headed in, dragging the little boy with him.

Entering the lady’s bathroom, Trevor’s eyes flew open. He saw the sink water running and toilet paper everywhere. The girl turned around with dripping wet hands and a smile on her face. She flapped her hands dry and wobbled to Trevor.
