About an hour and a half later, India was sitting in a chair watching Robin and Brittney dance in middle of the crowd. She had a cup of cool aid in hand with her legs crossed, looking conservative. To her the party was ‘okay’, but nothing she truly held interest for.

India took another swig from her drink when a tall, attractive male approached her. He was one of many who came to try his luck with India. “Hey what’s up?” he asked, taking a seat next to her.

            “Nothing,” India shot back.

He scooted a little closer to her. “Word, why you not out there dancin’?”

“Because, I don’t want too,” she answered. Her body language and simple responses were practically yelling at the guy; telling him she’s not interested.

“That’s a shame. Cause you look like you can dance,” he said.

India rolled her eyes at his comment. “Looks can be deceiving,” she quoted. With that being said, the guy heard enough and headed away. India smiled at her handy work. She’s been fighting boys off all night.

“Hey twinkle toes,” someone said in a foul tone. India looked up and saw Jaden walking toward her. “Didn’t think you’d be here. What, they cancelled the Friday night worship service?”

India put her cup on the table next to her and Jaden smirked. “What do you want?” She asked. Jaden was the last person she wanted to be bothered with.

“Me?” Jaden pointed to her self innocently. “I don’t want anything. I just thought I might come and say hey.” As Jaden continued to distract India with pointless small talk, Regina crept around the corner to the table next to them. She ever so gently slid India’s cup off the table and drizzled a powdered drug into her drink.

Once Regina had put all of the substance in the cup, she glanced at Jaden and gave her a wink. “Anyway, I guess I’ll let you get back to being lame,” Jaden mocked, walking away. “Enjoy the rest of your night…”

India squinted her eyes at her rival, not liking the tone in which she made that last statement. She reached over and took hold of her cup, taking a nice long gulp. Jaden and Regina regrouped on the other side of the room, watching India finish her contaminated drink.

“Oh my God… she’s actually drank it!” Regina exclaimed, a devilishly wide smile on her face.

“I know right,” Jaden laughed, She did her special prissy handshake with Regina. “Now all we gotta do is wait. That trick won’t know what hit her.”

“You know we owe Josh though,” Regina added, referring to her brother who supplied them with the drug they used.

“He’ll be aight,” Jaden brushed off. She returned her gaze to India and took a sip from her alcoholic beverage.

India placed her empty cup down and felt eyes on her. She glanced across the room and saw Jaden and Regina snickering amongst each other. She shook her head, unaware that the pair had doused her drink with ecstasy.

Around an hour later, India was still sitting in her chair when a sudden rush of energy overtook her body. The flashing lights in the house appeared like special effects in a movie. Her ears vibrated with the beat of the music as it flowed through them. She sat up extra straight after a warm sensation grooved up her spine. It was almost like she received a heighten perspective of things.
