She Won’t—
“Tell you that her heart is breaking, shattering, broken, shattered.
That she’s been in the mix and is battered.”
She Won’t—
“Tell you that she’s turning, twisting, slipping, tripping through the days that are not her own.
That she’s been stuck, stuck—stuck all alone”
She Won’t—
“Tell you that her home is gone and trials were lost.
That she’s been sure her hopes were all tossed.”
She Won’t—
“Tell you that”
She won’t tell you that
Because she thinks you deserve better than that.
