I and Poetry

Poetry and I don’t get along

Its rhythm is too hypnotic and sweet

My melody and my song to brash and too wrong

It’s richness in tone confusingly replete

Poetry SPEAKS a quantity too much

I do too little and talk a bunch

It’s a universal language, knowing English, Korean, and Dutch

I yell in a frustrated language on a language crutch

Poetry is too nondescript to identify

Too complex as to create speculation

Too ambiguous as to not clarify

Never sends one to their exact destination

Poetry and I don’t get along

I am irked with its certain eloquence

It’s a drum that needs to be bong

Whereas, I am too simple to do intense
