I open my eyes quickly and saw Alex sitting at the end of the couch watching TV. I sat up quickly and saw Alex turn her head towards me "sorry, didn't mean to wake you"

"it's all good"

"so how is everything with your mom?"

Alex and I became close one I moved in. She's always laid back and always listened to you. "haven't even talked to her for the past two weeks"

I get up off the couch and zip up my sweater, I walk out of the living room and head into the kitchen and saw Parker's mom sitting in the kitchen with a tall girl, she had brunette curly hair and dark brown eyes, she had freckles across her nose. The girl walks up to me and shakes my hand "hi, my name is Linda. . . you must be Addison"

"um. . . yeah. . . hi"

Linda let's go of my hand and sits down, I grab a fresh cup that was by the sink and fill it up with water "Parker awake yet?"

Parker's mom rolled her eyes and laughed "it's noon. . . so no, can you go wake him up Addison?"

I nod my head and walk up the stairs, I stopped at his door and open it slightly, he was sitting in his chair and was passed out holding papers in his hand. I walk up to him and gab the papers and slowly start to pull them out of his hands, Parker opened his eyes suddenly and pull the papers away from me. I jumped back startled and land onto his bed screaming, I throw my hands back and laugh, while Parker walks over to me. He grabs my hands and sits me up laughing "so. . .'' I said looking at him

"yes?"

"what was on the paper?"

"oh nothing. . ."

Parker sets the paper on the shelf that I couldn't reach and smile.

"who's Linda?"

Parker sits down beside me and lets out a sigh

"that's my aunt. . . she's the lawyer throughout the divorce"

I nod my head and stood up, walking slowly to the shelf with the paper on it. Parker gabs his shirt and starts to pull it off

"oops gotta get change, so should you" I roll my eyes and grabbed my bag, where I keep it and walk into the bathroom, I turned on the light and quickly threw on my clothes. I noticed Parker's sweater hanging on the back of the door, with his phone poking through the pocket of his sweater. I pulled his phone out and went to turn it on, but I heard Parker holler my name. I put his phone back and walked out into the hallway where he was standing there waiting for me, with a smile on his face. We headed downstairs and sat in the dinning room looking at each other. Parker gets up and grabs bowls, spoons, milk and cereal, he sets it on the table and pours me a bowl and hands it to me. I eat the cereal slowly and watch Parker pour himself a bowl, he looks at me with a sheepish smile and sat across from me. we ate our food in a awkward silence, staring at each other trying not to laugh. Once we finished our food, we headed outside and started walking down the street.

We walked up to my house and stood in the driveway, I watched a woman stand in the window and another woman walked up beside the woman and stared at Parker and I. The two women walked out of the house and I instantly realized who were the two women standing outside, it was Meghan and my mom, they both gave Parker and I a nasty look. Parker pulled me away and we continued are way down the street

"who was she?"

"my mom?" I said in a sarcastic tone.

"no, the other person"

I stop dead in my tracks and looked down at the grass, Parker stopped and stared at me with a confused look

"Meghan. . ." I said slowly and started to walk

"wait, like Meghan Davis from school?"

I kept walking and ignore him, he grabs my arm and stop me in my tracks "Meghan Davis, you know the one that's on all the sport teams, student council and the head of every school event?"

". . . I don't know"

Parker rolled his eyes and continued to walk, still holding my hand.

I didn't want to tell anyone that I had a sister only because, all my other siblings died. If the rest of them were alive there would of been five of us, they were triplets and died before they made it out of the hospital, if they were alive they would of been thirteen by now, they were all girls and after they died that's when my parents marriage started to crumble, they were heartbroken, my mom became all caught up with her work, as a distraction and my dad became a angry drunk, he eventually stopped but he was always angry. I haven't seen my dad and Meghan since I was twelve.

Parker and I continued walking down the street, holding hands. I could tell he was a bit annoyed that I ignored the question, but he seemed to brush it off quick.
