So to everyone reading this chapter, THANK YOU! I appreciate every single one of you who reads my story, it means a lot to me! Hope your life is going good and that January is good to you! I'm thinking about changing the title and description of the story on the main page as I don't really think they go along with where the story is heading now. I hope you guys don't mind and if you have any suggestions, feel free to comment them. Or if you don't think I should change the title, feel free to comment that as well. Here is CHAPTER 10!
He looked at me funny and I felt something. It wasn't like that spark that people always claim to feel when they touch their lover or that we suddenly had a connection; but for some reason I found myself nodding in his direction and timidly holding out my hand for him. He looked almost relieved as he took my bony hand in his rough ones and gingerly wrapped the handkerchief around it. I couldn't help but feel just a tiny bit sorry for the nasty cut I had given him, that now showed rough and jagged on the back of his hand. When he finished I curtly pulled back my hand and held it against my body.
He backed away holding his hands up in surrender and sat back down in front of me.
"I just want to talk." He said.
"Nobody ever just wants to talk." I huffed. "And besides, I don't have time for this. Sooner or later your dad is going to realize that me and you are missing and he's going to be really pissed. And I have a feeling that somehow I'm going to be blamed for all of this, and end up in really deep water."
Robin almost looked guilty for a second, "That's not really a problem uh, I told my dad that we were visiting the old Merryweather Mansion, the place that we were in earlier. Technically your uncle owns it but he never uses it anymore so it's kind of like a hideout for my gang. We have permission though so it's not like were trespassing." He gave me a hesitant smile. I was furious.
"You lied to your dad, kidnapped me and held me against my will, tied me to a bed, left me stranded on a roof and terrorized me by chasing me with your gang, and you expect me to want to, talk about it. " I uttered in disbelief.
"Well when you put it like that it makes me sound like the enemy!"He protested, standing up and pacing across the forest floor. "The boys just wanted to mess with you a little that's all!"
"So your idea of messing with someone is knocking them out with chloroform and then kidnapping them?" I challenged, standing up and looking him face to face.
"Not to mention calling them derogatory names and physically harassing them? I could have died on that roof. Maybe you didn't notice but it was LIGHTNING last night, and lightning most often hits tall things. Like the chimney of a house or the tower of a mansion? Both things that I was near while it was storming last night!" I yelled at Robin, making sure he heard the anger in my voice.
"You were fine. I was watching you the whole time." He insisted.
"You were watching me? And you didn't think to help when I almost fell off the roof, or when I was freezing my ass off up there? I was terrified that you were going to hurt me if I came down. And all for some stupid prank? That's one sick joke Robin." I scoffed and started walking back towards the house.
"Where are you going?" Robin yelled after me.
"Back to the house. And don't even think about following me because if you do I will beat your ass." I spat back, kicking the leaves as I went. I didn't even know what to think I was so irked. Did he have cameras set up everywhere too? Just so I could be the next video that went viral on the internet? I kicked a tree trunk and screamed.
