I'm sure you've seen rants with the same title many times but I don't think mine will be quite the same.
Creepypasta isn't scary anymore. Or at least the side of the fandom that is more fanart, character, and fanfiction oriented isn't. And I accept that, this half of the fandom is about those things I've listed.
If you want scary there's what I like to consider the other side of the fandom, the side that isn't about OCs and specific characters. The ones who read more stories than Jeff, EJ, etc. The ones who listen to the Creepypasta YouTubers. That is the fear and story oriented side of the fandom.
I personally don't believe bringing these sides together would be possible or a particularly good thing. I personally believe more arguments and drama would come from that.
And you might say "Void it's not good that the fandom is divided" but honestly I can barely consider them both the same fandom as they focus on entirely different aspects of the thing.
Then again this is just my belief but the fandom honestly isn't going to become scary again. It's too far gone for that.
