Dirty
Lynn, Grayson, and Ethan have all been best friends since they were babies back in New Jersey. Nothing changed after the twins and Lynn moved to California. Things start to change two years later as Lynn gets more curves and Grayson can't help...
Grayson and Lynn walks into me and Gray's apartment. Gray has his hand on the small of Lynn's back and they both look a little shaken up. Lynn is wearing Gray's sweatshirt.
Once they walk in the room all the way, Gray closes the door. Lynn comes over and sits on the couch next to me while Grayson sits next to her.
"Mom went to the bathroom," I whisper to them. "Lynn, why the hell are you wearing a sweatshirt when it is 100 degrees out?" I question
"Because this dipshit is a dipshit," she whispers pointing to Gray. Grayson tries not to smile but ends up anyway. "Tell you later, Eth" She whispers to me. "And, you, SHUT UP!" She whispers-shouts to him.
"Why and what are we whispering about?" Lisa says coming into the room making all of us jump.
Grayson's P.O.V.
Lynn made a noise of surprise when my mom came into the room and scared us all. It was the cutest thing ever.
"Hey, mom!" I say pushing myself off of the couch and going over to her to give her a hug. Ethan soon follows. Then Lynn. My mom and Lynn hug for a little while longer and my mom starts to look sad. Her face drops and she looks away for a second. When she looks back she is my mom again but something is off. She is trying to hard to smile. . . Something is definitely going on.
We all sit back down and our mom stands in front of us.
"So I have a lot of news. Some of it is good but there is bad news too. . ." she says looking at Lynn when saying bad news. "I am going to tell you guys the good news first. Then the bad." She is pacing back and forth and playing with her hands. She does that when she is nervous. Oh-no.
She continues. "The good news is for everyone. It is that you are all going on a vacation." She says
"Where are we going?" We all ask at the same time. We look at each other and laugh.
"Hawaii," she tells
"Wait," Lynn says. "Who is all going?"
My mom flinches and the says, "Grayson, Ethan, and you"
"What about you and Sean and my mom and Chase (Lynn's 9-year old brother)?" Lynn says which causes my mom to flinch again. Whatever the bad news is, it must be very very bad.
Lynn's P.O.V.
Something is going on. Something bad happened.
"What is the bad news?! What is wrong?! The bad news is obviously for me so please just tell me because we all know that I am not good in awkward situations. Everyone knows that. I am so sorry if I sound like a bitch right now but please just rip the band-aid off!" I finish quickly. I am already about to start crying because I'm freaking out.
Everyone is silent. There isn't a sound. It stays that way for another 30-ish seconds until Lisa says quietly, "I am so so sorry Lynnie." She only calls me Lynnie when she is really serious. "The news is mostly for you. I am so sorry." She says; she starts to cry but then stops and looks at me.
"Your mom and Chase got into a very bad car crash. Chase died on impact and your mother had died multiple times in the hospital until she passed away early this morning around 1. The crash happened last night around 8. I am so so sorry Lynn."
I couldn't hear anything. My mom is dead? The mom that taught me how to walk? The mom that told me to never rely on anyone. The mom that held me after my father left, blaming me for their divorce? The mom that helped me through my first period? The mom that was always so excepting and loving towards everyone that no one ever could possibly hate her? That mom? No, not her. Who else then. I don't have any other mom except for Lisa. Natalie Marie Matterson is not dead. This must be some kind of joke.
Grayson's P.O.V
Lynn is just standing there looking at the ground, tears running down her face. She is shaking so bad. She looks up at my mom.
"They are gone?" she mutters to her.
"Yes, Lynnie. I am so so terribly sorry." My mom sobs.
Lynn makes a sound so heartbreaking and her legs collapse. I try to catch her before she falls on the ground. I catch her and fall with her. Her body is racked with sobs, I don't think she will ever stop. . .
