33: I Wanna Go!

Lynn

I get out of the shower and head to my room. Last night I decided I needed to go back to my place and start living there again. Gray and I will sleep over still, probably nightly, but I need to go back to living at my place. 

I go into my room with the towel wrapped around my body and go to my closet. I pick out some skinny jeans and a dark red crop top. I blow dry my hair and put it in a bun. After that, I apply makeup and put on my white converse. I look at myself in my long mirror and is pleased. 

I grab my small purse and lock my apartment. I head over to Gray and Ethan's place. I still have about an hour until we decided that we were going to the movies.

"What are you all dressed up for?" Ethan asks. 

"I'm not dressed up," I say. 

"Oh. I just haven't seen you wearing makeup in a while. That is what different," he says. 

"Well, I am going out. I am going to go see a movie with Monica. The girl that helped me out that one day," I say, not feeling comfortable with talking about that day. 

Ethan's facial expression changes when he notices who I am talking about. "Her? How are you still talking to her?" he asks, quickly looking suspicious. 

"She put her number in my phone in case I needed her," I say awkwardly. 

"Is Grayson coming with you?" he asks. 

"Nah. It was just gonna be me and her," I say. 

"Well, you should take Grayson. And me. So we can all get to know each other," he says, giving an awkward laugh and scratching his neck. 

"I'll call her and see what she says," I say. I take my phone out of my purse and get to her number.

Before I tap it, Ethan tells me to put it on speaker. I tap it and it rings. She picks up right away. 

"Hey, Monica! I know that it is a short time and everything but my friends want to come along to the movie. Is that okay? If not, I can tell them no. I don't care," I say to the phone. 

"Nah it is okay. I don't mind," she says.

We texted each other last night and we got to know each other a little bit. She told me about her boyfriend, Landon. She doesn't speak very highly of him, but she talks about how she loves him. Their relationship doesn't make much sense to me but I am not here to judge. 

I told her about Grayson and I. I told her about Ethan, too, but not much. She grew up in foster care with many foster siblings that she still talks to. She is very loving and caring. She doesn't want to have kids at all and she wants a happy life. She hopes to be a vet person, too. She keeps up with all the fashion trends and she seemed to act like a boy at first, but she seems very girly now that I know her better. 

I can't help but think that I finally have a friend that is a girl! I am so excited to have one. 

"You could bring Landon if you wanted," I suggest to her. 

"No. I don't really feel like bringing him. He has been a jerk here recently. I'd rather just leave him alone," she says. 

"Okay. Well, I will she you at the theater at 1:00 for the movie then," I say. 

"K. See ya then. Bye!" she says and hangs up. 

I click my phone off and set it down. 

"Who is Landon?" Ethan asks me.

"Monica's boyfriend," I say looking over at Ethan. 

"She has a boyfriend?" he asks. I think it was more to himself but still. 

"Yeah. . . " I say. 

"Oh," is all he says. 

Ethan's P.O.V. 

When Monica dropped Lynn off that one day,  knew nothing about her. I saw her and she looked like a normal Californa girl. She was beautiful and I wanted to get to know her. I didn't even know her name. She left and I never got a name or number.

I didn't think much of it besides I was an idiot for not acting fast enough because she left before I could say anything to her. When Lynn started talking about her, I couldn't help but be interested. 

Then, Lynn said something about a boyfriend. My face dropped. Of course a beautiful girl like her isn't single. But that isn't going to stop me. When Monica talked about this 'Landon', she didn't seem too pleased. And he sounds like a jerk. 

I hope this all works out. 

Grayson's P.O.V.

I walk out of my room when I hear Lynn's voice. I see her talking to Ethan and Ethan looks lost in thought. Lynn looks like she is thinking really hard about something. 

"Hey, babe. You look nice," I state. She snaps out of her trance and looks at me, smiling. 

"Thanks. Hey! I was wondering if you would mind coming to the movies with me?" she asks.

"I thought you were going with Monica to have girl time," I say confused. 

"Ethan wants to come so I decided you should come to. I don't want to leave you here all by yourself," she says. 

"Oh, how nice of you," I say sarcastically leaning in to give her a quick kiss. She kisses me back and then I pull away. 

"When are we leaving?" I ask. 

"In about 15 or 20 minutes," she says. 

"I might want to get ready, then," I say.
