Lynn's father P.O.V.

I wake up with a terrible headache and all my clothes on, including my shoes. I knew I missed the funeral and I started drinking. I don't remember what happened after that.

I open my eyes and see a familiar place. I used to sleep in this room, I think. No, this is the guest room of my old house, before I cheated on the one woman I ever loved. I never recovered from Natalie. She was the love of my life, but the temptations of another woman got to me and I cheated. I had a family. A beautiful daughter and handsome son with an amazing wife. I screwed up.

I tried to be with other women and make a life with them, but it never worked out. I never loved them or had feelings with them. It wasn't the same.

I hope I didn't break into the house while I was drunk. I get up and walk to the door, opening it and stepping out. I walk into the hall and into the room where Natalie and I used to sleep. I open the door and it looks the same, just older. I can still smell her.

I walk backward and close the door. I walk down to where Chase's room was. I open the door and see cars all over the floor. He would have been turning 10 this year. I see car posters and a flat screen T.V. on the wall. His bed is unmade and he has car magazines on them, scattered about. He must have loved cars. I wasn't there for that.

I walk out of his room and close the door. I walk to Lynn's room and hesitate. I knew Lynn better. She was nine when I left her. Chase was only 1. I put my hand on the doorknob and twist, wondering how much is different than it was before I left.

The door opens and I see a girl laying on the bed. She is laying on a shirtless guy that looks oddly familiar. It also looks like he doesn't have pants on. The girls back is to me so I can't see her face; I am assuming it is Lynn. They both are asleep. I can hear them snoring. I walk out of the room and close the door gently.

This must be difficult for Lynn. Her mother and brother died and left her here, living in this house by herself. She probably has to pay the bills. (A/N: Her father obviously doesn't know that Lynn doesn't live there and that she lives in LA).

I gather all of my courage and start walking down the stairs. I need to leave. I don't belong here.

"Where are you going?" a voice says from behind me.

Grayson's P.O.V.

I heard the door to Lynn's room close. I hear footstep going down the hall. I get up and try not to wake up Lynn, but she wakes up anyway. She gets up and walks into the bathroom, turning the shower on. I get up and walk out of the room and down the hall. I see her father heading to the door.

"Where are you going?" I ask him.

"I don't belong here. You all look familiar, but I can't remember who you are. I can't be here," he says.

"So you are leaving Lynn again. But this time you aren't fighting her. You are leaving the opposite way by leaving quite. Still leaving, but less harmful," I throw at him.

He just stares at me. He doesn't say anything for a while. "I didn't mean to hurt her," he says softly. I walk down the steps towards him. I realize I didn't grab any pants.

"You didn't mean to hurt her? You didn't mean to hurt her?! You hit her and you shoved her to the ground, breaking her arm. What do you mean you didn't mean to hurt her?" I say harshly.

"I screwed up. I am the first one to know I screwed up, boy. You don't know me. You don't know OR understand what I went through. So shut your mouth," he says, pointing at me.

"I am not the only one who doesn't understand what happened to someone because you missed out on all of Lynn's life," I say. I turn around and walk up the stairs to go to Lynn's room.

Once in her room, I heard her shut the water off. She walks out of the bathroom wrapped in a towel. She goes over to her dresser and picks clothes out. She puts on a big baggy shirt and big jeans on.

"I can't believe I used to think it was okay to wear these clothes. There are so ugly. I was so fucking fat. Eww. I disgust myself," she says.

"Shut up. You look fine. Like always. Are we going to go over to and talk to Ethan about when we are leaving?" I ask.

"Yeah, but some lady is coming over to talk about the house and all the things in it in like 10 minutes. My mom left a will saying I get whatever I want and the rest I sell. I can't keep the house and I am going to keep most of her and Chase's things in storage. I have to," she says.

I know this is hard for her. I don't know what to do or how to help.

"Come on. Let's go talk to the lady," I tell her. We walk down the steps and we both see her father sitting at the table, looking depressed and almost in tears.

Then he says "I think we should talk."
