Maia woke up, growling. She didn't know what was happening to her body, she saw Jonathan in her bedroom sitting on the edge of her bed. She whispered "Did you watch me sleep, Jonathan?, that's creepy". "Yes, but....", he said. "But what, Jonathan, you know that's not right", she was scared. "Sorry, it's just...I'm worried about you", he said. "What do you need to be worried about, I'm fine?", she said her tone become restless. "I don't think you are, you haven't been yourself", Jonathan said softly. "I'm fine, don't worry about me", she said in a joking matter.

"Jonathan, I need to feed", she said, her voice was becoming more quieter. He nodded. Jonathan walked to the fridge and handed Maia a bag of blood, it looked like it was from a hospital. "How did you get this?", she said sounding surprised. "I work on hospital grounds, I managed to use my grades and father's name to get me to work on the hospital floor, so I could bring us food", he explained. "Alright then", she said while grabbing the bag of blood and she poured it into a glass cup and she drank, she drank it as she was drinking water, blood dripping down her face onto the black shirt. Her veins were bold and black, her teeth were sharping, her eyes were changing. Her voice changed from being small and soft to a possessive voice, it was almost a dark echo, "Jonathan, I'm fine, stop worrying". She was shocked by the sound of her voice, this never happened to her. "Jonathan what's happening to me?", she screamed. She collapsed on the floor, but just before she fell, she put the glass cup on the kitchen table. Jonathan rushed to his sister aid. He was holding her from her neck, supporting it. Jonathan other hand was holding his little close. "Maia, please wake up", he yelled. It was too late his sister was already unconscious.

Maia woke up outside her family country house. Her father was next to her, looking at her, examining her. She felt a sickness inside her, but she wasn't sure what it was. She moved backwards, shuffling backwards hitting the front door of the house. "Stay away from me, you monster", she spat at him. "Maia, don't talk to me like that", he said in a cool tone. He caught her up roughly by her wrist, heaving her upwards towards him. He carried her bridal style into the house, her body was tense, she hated him touching her, carrying her, helping her. They both reached to Maia's and Jonathan's bedroom, he dropped her on the bed, Maia reacted and moved backwards. Her father walked out the room locking the door behind him. Maia saw the window and tried to break it, but she couldn't, it was triple glazed. Maia screamed and falling to her knees, she was clawing the wooden floor. She knew she was trapped, but she wasn't sure for how long.

She stopped, she crawled back on the bed and sat in the middle, she was waiting but for what. For her father to come in a break her into little pieces, what could she do?. She played with the hairband which was around her wrist, she was crying. Her whole body was sore but she didn't know what from. She looked in the mirror and saw herself, herself as the monster her father made her to be, his little monster.

She remembered how people feared her father, he was sinister, he made people feel uncomfortable, he made people spill their secrets, he controlled people. Without any reason the door unlocked and opened slightly. She walked down the staircase and into her father's study. "Maia, please sit", he said gracefully. She said "No, I will not", her voice was stronge and stiff. "As you wish", he replied. "Do you know why you are here?", he said in a lighter tone. "No, enlightened me father" she said, her voice still the same. "I see you're anger towards me and I want you ask some questions about me to see if I can lift your spirits", his grin was unnatural. "Do you really think a few questions would make up for what you did, not just to me but Jonathan and Matthew, Mother and Jordan. What you did to them was unforgivable?", she screamed.

Something caught her wrist, it wasn't father or that shadow creature, but a human. He looked very similar to her brother and similar to her father. "Sebastian, let go of her wrist", her father growled. He followed his instructions and let her go, but still standing by her side. "She will talk when she is ready, however take her into the kitchen, let her eat something", he said.

Sebastian pulled Maia into the kitchen making her sit down on the dinner table. He brought out a cup of blood in front of her. "You are pale, drink it", he said with a tone of anger. She couldn't help herself, she needed to feed. She pulled the cup to her lips and drank it, after a few moments she finished drinking. Sebastian licked his thumb and wiped the blood off her face with it, his grin was diabolical. She scowled at him. She stood up and walked back upstairs into her bedroom. Sebastian followed her, "Can't I get any space?", she questioned. "No I have to keep an eye on you, make sure you don't go anywhere", he replied, his tone was soft. "Where am I going to go?, if I'm going end up here", she yelled. "Well at least you admit defeat", he added. She sat on her bed, she was quiet for a moment. She growled at Sebastian, she snarl barring her teeth at him. She had already transformed into her animal-self. Her father charged up the stairs and slapped Maia in the face, knocking her down. She was silent with her hand on her face.
