Chapter Twenty

Maia suck the air through her teeth as she felt the glass and wood being pulled out of her body. "Painful", her brother said. "More scars", he added. She growled at him. She felt her blood tickle down her back as a piece of wood wall being pulled out of her hip. After twenty minutes, her father had finished. She got and injection in her neck. "It will stop getting infected", her father said bluntly. She got up to her feet, her back felt tight, she moaned in pain.

She walked out of the room and up to her bedroom, she laid down of her bed, on her left side. She stared out of the window, wondering what freedom will be like for her. 'Will I ever be free?', she thought.

Maia woke up in her room. Her brother might of put her own bedroom. She walked into her bathroom and took her shirt off and saw all of the scars on her back. "It's real", she whispered. She put her shirt back on and walked out of her room, she saw her brother with William. "Hi...William, I didn't know when you are coming back", she said. "The game got cancelled because the other team where under a drug influence, so they forfeited", he said. "Oh okay", she said under her breath. "I heard about Lacey, your brother told me, you okay?", he asked. "I am fine, I think, let's just drop it", she growled. "Alright, we will stop talking about it", William said.

"Alright guys, I'm going to work, I won't be back until tomorrow, so I trust the both of you to not destroy the place", Jonathan said. "We will be fine", Maia said. Jonathan left the room and Maia saw Jonathan's car drive away. Maia jumped on the sofa and William joined her. "So what are we going to do?", William said softly. "I don't know, I'm feeling well", she said. "Alright, I can go if you want, but I want to keep you safe", William said. "You can stay that's not a problem, it's just I know...", she said bluntly. "...I know you have feeling for me, after we kissed", Maia finished. "I'm sorry that I like you, it's just, I thought you were lesbian, after you and Lacey were in a relationship", William explained. "Well I'm bisexual and anyway, I kind of like you as well, it's just I have put off boys since what my father and brother did to me", she explained, she started to cry. "I know all men are not like that, it's just if you have been thought what I have been through, you see the world and people in a different light, it's just when I was in a relationship everything was ordinary and I loved it", she cried out.

"I understand, you feel this way and I'm sorry that I can't help you, it's just my feeling get in the way of most thing right now", William explained. "It's okay, nothing is your fault and I do love you, I really do", Maia whispered. William leaned forward to kiss Maia and she let him. They both started to take there own clothes off and then they started to kiss again. Thai reminded her of the good that she had left in her, she really felt human with him. They found themselves on the floor, half naked and still kissing. Then William broke away. "You love me don't you", he said. "I love you, nothing will change that", she said. He cupped her face and moved his fingers to her chin and then to her throat.

"William, what the hell are you doing?", she whispered. "I never thought it would be so painful to pretend to be something else, Maia", he growled. "Why are you saying these things?", she questioned. He grabbed her throat and squeezed it tightly. Maia choked and tried to claw this hand to stop him. "From day one I knew who your were and the best part was, is that you just told me that you love me, that's the best thing", he whispered in her ear. "What the fuck is wrong with you?", she choked. He let go of her, she fell backwards and she crawled away from him.

"It's still funny at your haven't figured it out yet...", he roared, "...little sister". Maia was stunned. "No...no, this can't be true, you are not Sebastian, how, how?", she screamed. William growled and turned into Sebastian and he was in his demon form. "I was William the whole time, I killed him after I saw you and him at the park for the first time, he was an easy target", he expanded. "How the fuck can you do this?", she screamed. "I thought you were real", she whispered.

"You just told me that you loved me, that's what I can't get over", he yelled. He got down to her level and pinning her against the wall. As he was breathing, Maia could feel his chest rise and fall against hers. She shut her eyes and whimpered. "This isn't fair", she cried out. "Life isn't fair, I thought you out of all people would understand that", he breathed.

"What are you going to do me?", she whispered. "Nothing, I've had my fun and now I watched you break, we can put you back together the right way", he hissed. Maia shivered at the tone of his voice. He let go of her, she fell onto the floor and was dragged into her bedroom, he dumped her on her bedroom. She growled at him. "How does it feel to be alone, Maia?", he said. Maia snarled and run towards him and punched him in the stomach, she pushed him into her bedroom and locked the door. She grabbed the kitchen knife and held it in front of her. She waited for her brother to come, she wanted to kill him for what he's done.
