N/A/ So this is a Bellice but how it becomes one is interesting. I hope you enjoy it! Btw, this is an edited chapter,  I'm trying to get the feel for this story and continue writing it.

Bella's POV:

I died at the age of eighteen, and three days later my funeral took place. I watched as my family grieved me, though no one ever mentioned how I died. They all stood around an empty casket, my body never being found. My dad and mom stood there crying, all my friends from high school around them. Some of them seemed unsure of what to do, this was the first time some have been to a funeral, some stood there crying, others just stood there; a blank look on their faces. I had the honor of watching my funeral take place, everyone always jokes about how much they want to see how people act at their death; experiencing this, no one wants this feeling. But, let's not get caught in that just yet.

Remember how I said I died on my eighteenth birthday? It was the happiest day of my life, though that was the last day I felt true happiness. My boyfriend and his family were throwing me a party, even though I was adamant on just having a normal day. I went to school like always, everyone stared me down per normal and my friends were the only ones to talk to me. It wasn't anything special; not yet, but I knew the day would get better. I'd rushed home, driving my truck for the first time in a while, and packed an overnight bag. Alice wanted a sleepover, saying she had something special planned.

I'd grabbed the needed clothing, leaving my toothbrush and such at home; I had my own set at their house. As I ran down the stairs trying not to trip a familiar voice sounded behind me, and a twinge of fear resigned in me. I turned around to see the one and only Victoria.

"Hello Bella," she purred at me.

"Victoria," I said, stepping back, my fear spiking.

She smiled evilly at me, taking slow sensual steps towards me. Mid-step I felt myself miscalculating where the next step was as I fell backward, my leg twisting in an inhumane way, my head slamming into the floor. I groaned as my vision blurred, my leg screaming at me.

Victoria laughed, her eyes darkening as she stepped over me, "Oh I love it when you get scared, makes you smell so good!"

I whimpered, trying to move away from her, my body wanting nothing more than to flee. In my head, all I could think of is that no one is going to save me.

She stepped forward, leaning down as she grabbed my injured leg and pulled me back towards her, a grin escaping as I scream left my throat. She leaned over me completely, her free hand running down my tear-streaked face.

"Oh how badly I want to drain you, but I want you to pay! You're little Edward caught me and my mate watching you, and you know what he did? He killed him, took him away from me! I want you to feel the pain and loneliness I feel!" She sighed, tapping my cheek.

She looked solemn almost, regretful, "It is quite disappointing that you won't feel the same pain as me, considering Edward isn't even your mate!" My heart dropped as she spoke, "But someone had to pay for his mistake! Me and my mate seen you two, a human and a vampire, and we were so curious! We just wanted to watch, but you're little 'mate' got too protective over his next meal and killed mine."

I whimpered, trying to escape but her grip on me didn't budge, her darkened eyes staring into mine. I knew this was it; the blood leaving my face, I was going to die today. She smiled at me, her eyes automatically picking up the change. Her hand gently cupped my chin, "Poor Bella, alone whenever she dies and alone whenever she lives," she leaned down toward my face her breath dancing over me, "Once you're no longer human he'll leave you behind, as will everyone else."

Her teeth sank into my neck, I felt her drain my blood before feeling a fire engulf me. She pulled back, her teeth painted in blood as she smiled at me.

"You really were the sweetest tasting human," were the last words I heard.

I felt her pick me up and could feel the familiar motion of running faster than the eye could see. I'm not sure where she took me, but for three days I felt nothing but pain. The pain grew before stopping completely, and whenever I opened my eyes the first thing I felt was lacking hunger. It took me some time before I adjusted to my sense, but once I did I ran. I'm not sure how long it took me to reach Forks, having recognized I'd been dumped in Canada. She was nowhere to be found, her scent long gone. I ran into humans on the way but surprisingly felt no third, nothing like Edward had described to me. I'd even attempted killing a dear, but upon tackling it I felt nothing but guilt. I was thankful though; not feeling a need for blood was a relief.

Which lead me to where I am now, watching an empty casket being lowered into the ground. I stood a distance in the woods, far enough that the humans couldn't sense me but close enough that the Cullens could. I heard my dad speak to my mom, his voice regretful, "I should've been home, I could've stopped the fire."

It dawned on me at that moment, that Victoria must've caught my home on fire as a cover-up. But the Cullens must've known that, right? Looking towards the Cullens I wondered why they didn't turn to look at me, why they showed no sign of sensing me. But then I remembered how Carlisle had mentioned that I could be a shield; considering Edward could never read my thoughts.

It soon started to rain, and the crowd of people grew thinner and thinner, till only the Cullen's remained. Each of them stepped forward with a single rose; throwing it on top of the now-lowered casket. Each of them said goodbye, even Rose said she'd miss me. Alice was the last one to walk forward, her body shaking as she threw her rose, sobs leaving her as she stared at the pile of flowers.

"I'm so sorry Bella, I should've been watching you're future more closely, I could've saved you from her. I was so caught up in trying to make the perfect party that I didn't see it happen, we didn't even find out till Charlie called Carlise asking for you. I failed you, I let her get to you."I stepped forward, wanting nothing more than to hug her and say it was okay. I didn't care if anyone else saw me, I was sure I could make up a story. I had stood less than a foot away from her at that moment, my hand reaching out.

"Alice, please don't blame yourself, it wasn't your fault."

She never moved, never looked up towards me. Whenever she finally glanced up and looked around she just stared through me, her eyes glistening. Her emotions were so clear, I felt my heart yearned for her to see me.

Her eyes looked down, a sad laugh escaping her, "I'm going crazy now, I can swear you're here with me. If you're here, I want you to know I'm sorry Bella."

I darted forward but before I could touch her she ran into the woods, leaving me standing alone in the rain.

I growled, my eyes turning towards the sky as I let out a furious yell, "What am I supposed to do now?! No one can see me!"

I collapsed, knowing Victora won. I was alone. My emotions started to overcome me, my body shaking as a tingling warmth enveloped me, my hands burning. My eyes jolted open, my hands now engulfed in a shield of flames, not touching my skin but very much coming from my hands.
