Bella's POV

Bella sighed as she sat down on a fallen log, her emotions feeling somewhat more controlled. She couldn't shake the feeling of being scared, though she was unsure if she was more scared for herself or the Cullens; mainly Alice.

She couldn't shake the memories of what had happened at the hands of Aro, and she worried the same would happen to them. Alice didn't show any worry about the topic, and that alone bothered Bella. Logically she knew she could bring up the topic with her, to see how she truly felt but something in her was scared to ask. She knew there was nothing she could say to comfort Alice.

Looking down at the folder in her hands she groaned, annoyed at the whole situation. Opening the folder she pulled out the first sheet, a small piece of paper reading the address.

Reading the piece of paper she nodded, quickly memorizing the sheet before placing it back inside the folder. It was a new location given to her by the Volturi, and thankfully it wasn't too far away from the Cullens residence. She would prefer to talk to Alice after catching up on what her assignment entailed.

Standing up she dusted herself off before running in the direction of the house.

She reached the house in no time, it was nice and secluded. It was surrounded by the forest and a tall log house. It had four windows in the front, the blinds drawn open so that you could see inside. One window showed the kitchen while the other one was in the living room. The other two belonged to the two bedrooms that you could see from the front. It was two stories. The perimeter of the house was surrounded by different kinds of flowers, roses, daises, and tulips. It was the type of place that people would like if they preferred being around a quiet environment.

Walking up to the front door she twisted the knob knowing that they would leave it unlocked for her. Looking around the house she went to the living room. The room was light blue, the couch was leather, and the chairs that were around it were also leather. The cabinets were filled with movies it seemed and there was a big widescreen in front of the couch. Underneath it was a cabinet that had a stereo surround sound system, a game system, and a movie player with a music player too. Entering the kitchen she saw a new fridge, and whenever she opened it there were bottles of blood. Grabbing one she knew that she would have to either learn to be like Alice and her family or she would starve.

The first time the Volturi learned about her views on killing humans they didn't hesitate to rub it in her face. She remembered the day clearly when the Guard brought in a batch of humans and she was forced to watch as they and the Kings shredded the humans. It didn't make her thirsty, and upon seeing her lack of thirst Aro demanded that she drink from his human. It tasted terrible, and not even a moment after swallowing she felt a thick bile rise from her stomach and back out. It was soon realized that she couldn't be sustained by human blood, though after some studying she learned that she could drink it if it was mixed in with garlic; which was quite funny to learn considering the folklore about vampires and garlic.

Taking out a bottle she took a sniff and smelled the heavy scent of garlic, it was less than appetizing but it was an effective form of substance. However, she was curious about how animal blood would taste.

Opening the battle she took a drink as she went about walking through the house. There was an office room on the bottom floor. Opening the door she saw a small box on the desk in there. Walking in she sat the bottle down taking the box in her hands and opening it. Inside there was a key with an envelope under it. Setting the now empty bloody bottle down on the desk she graphed the note and flicked open the seal, pulling out a small note.

"This key locks the door to this office, while it is useless against other vampires it is required that you keep this door locked anytime you are not within it. Any files sent to you should be locked inside as well."
