Me and my brother tossed our rollerblades in the trunk and drove off to find a decent hill around the neighborhood to skate on. Finally we turned the corner and found a nice big hill. We got out of the car and started strapping up our skates while sitting on the curb.
"Looks like we found a nice hill that we could use from now on." Greg said.
"Yeah. This ones good." I replied. After we strapped on our rollerblades. Mine were sky blue and his were a dark green. We started making V's with our skates to get up the big hill.
"Ladies first, " I joked as we got to the top of the hill.
"Whatever," he said and rolled down. Once he got to the bottom he yelled up, " WOW! Dude! You gotta try that! It felt like I was on a roller coaster!" My little brother yelled up to me.
"Really? Okay Im going down now!" I yelled down to him.
"Just watch for the little bump at the bottom!" He yelled back up to me. I nodded and rolled down.
It was amazing. The wind rushing at your face, the feel you get in your stomach when you go down on a roller coaster, it was truly amazing. It was all perfect until BOOM!
"OH MY GOD!!! IM SO SORRY!!" I heard a boys voice shouting at me. I blinked my eyes a few times still dazed. Thank god I was wearing my helmet, I thought to myself.
"Um... its alright, I guess." I looked up and saw a dark haired boy kneeling next to where I crashed. His face in his hands. He was also wearing rollerblades.
"No really, I'm, I'm fine." I told him reassuringly. He took his face out of his hands and looked up at me. His eyes widened.
"Hello." He said smiling.
"Hey." I said. He stared at me not saying anything. "Well. I'm gonna head home now."I said awkwardly. He was drooling a little.
"WAIT!" He said. "I'm, uh... Sam..who are you?" He asked looking into my eyes, still drooling.
"Um..hey...I'm Marlee." I said wanting more than anything to leave. He kept staring at me not saying anything. I bit my lip and said,"Well, bye" and turned to walk away. Greg was waiting at the car.
"I love her." I heard him whisper. I don't think I was supposed to hear it but I did. I blushed and kept walking.
Once I got to the car, I started the engine and started to drive back home. Once I was about halfway home I looked in my rearview mirror and saw a truck behind me. I made 4 right turns and it was still behind me.
"Um Greg?" I asked him. He was sitting in the passenger seat.
" Do you see that truck behind us?" He turned around and looked back.
"Um yea. What about it?" He asked.
"Its been following us since the hill. Can you see who it is or no?" I asked him. He looked back again.
"Uh..no. The windshield is too dark." He replied.
"Oh well. We'll figure out who it is in a minute."
Once we pulled up to my driveway in our cull de sac, the truck parked across the street in front of our neighbors house. I got out of the car and looked to see Sam getting out of his truck.
"Ah great." I whispered under my breath.
"Hey guys!" He yelled as he started walked out towards us.
"Hey. What are you doing here? Why did you follow us here?" I asked a little irritated.
"Uh..because...um, I don't know...." Oh great. Thats just great. I have an annoying kid that followed me home. I thought. Ughh.
