Unexpected

Chapter 21

--- Marlee's POV ---

Once I got home, I took out the note and read it over and over again on my bed. I finally pulled out my phone.

I found Sam's number and called it.

"This number has been blocked. If you would like to unblock it, press 1 if- " I quickly pressed 1.

It started ringing.

"Hello?" Sam's voice picked up.

"Hey, it's Marlee. I'm sorry I overreacted."

"Really? You-you forgive me?" I could tell he was smiling over the phone.

"Yeah I guess" I was smiling now too.

"I saw the note." I told him.

"Good. Thank you, for forgiving me. I will never hurt you again." He told me.

"Okay." I replied.

"See you at school?" he asked.

"See you at school." I repeated.

We hung up and I was the happiest I've been in a long time.

She forgave me. She actually forgave me. I wouldn't let her down again. Never.

I dashed down the stairs and nearly tripped. I was going to see her.
