Unexpected

Chapter 3

The next morning, I look outside my window to see the damn truck still out there. Im starting to think this boy will never leave.

Once I finished my morning routine, I went outside to go to school.

"Hey Marlee!" Sam called and came running to my driveway.

"No! Off my property!" I yelled before he took a step on my driveway.

"Fine. Sheesh." He backed away a bit.

"Now move before I run you over" I told him and I was serious. I hopped into my car before he had a chance to say anything else.

As I was pulling out, I saw him walk over to his truck to start following me. So I drove as quick as possibly to school. I hoped that I had gotten rid of him. I peeked around the cars once again and didn't see him or his truck. Whew. Thank goodness.

I finally pulled up at school 7 minutes later and saw Maya sitting at the benches.

"Hey Maya!" I called to her. She usually comes at about the same time as me, or earlier.

"Oh. Hey Marlee!" She said once she looked up from her phone.

"Is that....creep, still following you?" She asked looking around frantically.

"Um. I think so but I tried ditching him when I left my house." I told her.

"Oh. And you haven't seen him since then?" She asked, a little bit more confident this time.

"Nope" I replied, popping the P sound.

"Whew. Thats good" she said relieved.

Slowly everyone showed up.

Lets go to first period now." I said to Maya because we had that class together.

"Ya. Lets go." she said as the bell rang

Once I went to break, I met up with my friends again.

"Hey guys!" I say to them as I carry my tray of food.

"Hey Marlee" they all respond.

"Is that boy still following you?" Sara asked me.

"Um.. ya, he is. Sadly" I respond to her.

"Oh, sorry. I thought he would've stopped by now." she says. embarrassed for asking.

"it's fine. I thought so too." I tell her. we continued eating and talking until the bell rang.

"See you after school guys!" I tell them.

"Bye"

"Ya see you" They respond.
