Niall

After eight whole weeks of suffering my ribs had healed and my leg was no longer broken, my huge smile spreading across my face as the doctor cut it off.

"It'll be a little sore for a few days and weak since you haven't put any weight on it, but other than that you're okay! Take it easy, kid." I nodded while I almost danced my way out of the hospital, ready to broadcast the good news on my social media when I got a text from Lily.

We've got a new coworker today!! You'll be happy to see who it is!

I furrowed my brows but nonetheless smiled, remembering that after today I'd have to go back to work. Even though all I did was just take people's orders and deliver their food to them it was fun; plus the tips I got were half my paycheck if I wasn't including Youtube. Speaking of, I'd been avoiding any place that I'd locally go to every day, trying to stay out of the public eye.

It was hard being associated with Zayn, and even though this was part of the package of potentially being with someone as famous as him. The idea of he and I being together brought another grin to my face, hiding behind my hands as I stared out the window of the passenger seat. I imagined the two of us holding hands, swinging them between us as we walked down the streets of London. I imagined my arms around him as we sat together in his house, watching whatever was on the television while we just cuddled.

Not gonna lie, being his fan has caused me to imagine these scenarios with him before, but this time it was different. The fact that he actually knew who I was, and that we'd met in person before, and that I'd kissed him; the possibilities between the two of us were endless, and I couldn't wait to see him again so I could get a better understanding of where our relationship together lie.

"I was gonna meet Lou at Tracy's; wanna come with? Or do you want me to drop you off?" Harry brought me out of my thoughts, sending me a dimpled smile while I pointed in the direction of the diner.

"Just take me there; it's been way too long since I've seen everybody." Harry nodded and steered the car in that direction, soon arriving to the diner while I got out of the car with my hands stuffed into my sweatshirt. I pushed open the door with my shoulder and grinned when I saw Lily working the register stand along with the menus as she returned the smile and walked around the register.

"Oh, my dear Niall how I've missed you!" She exaggerated, giggling as she threw her arms around my shoulders and gave me a tight hug. I giggled as I pulled away after a few minutes, my eyes locking in on Louis as he came from the employee room wearing one of our work shirts.

"No fucking way," I gasped, watching as he gave me a smile and shrugged. "You work here now?"

"I got tired of my old job at the bar; this pays less but it's with you guys. That's all that matters." He smiled while I gave him a hug, Harry pouting as he crossed his arms.

"So you basically left me at the bar."

"You've been working there for years now Harry, you're the main reason that damn bar get's customers," Louis chuckled, Harry nodding his head because who was he to deny that kind of truth? "So you finally got that bloody cast off! How do you feel?"

"It feels a little weird but I'll get used to using it again. Speaking of which I should get home soon, I've gotta update everybody on my leg and my ribs. I'll see you guys later tonight though? Hang out at Harry and Lou's?" They all nodded, Lily officially a part of our group now ever since she'd taken care of me after the accident.

As Harry took me back to the apartment I couldn't help but let my mind drift back off to Zayn again, seeing his smile in my mind as I let my own mouth form a smile. No matter what he'd done to me so far he was always going to be the one to bring a smile to my face; and unsurprisingly, I was okay with that.

Zayn

I nervously gripped my duffle bag as I walked right off the plane and into the gate of the airport, the familiar sounds of the LAX airport like music to my ears as I made my way towards the exit. I texted an uber, beanie and sunglasses hiding my face from anybody who would happen to recognize me. The last thing I needed was to be mobbed by fans when the one person I wanted to see was so close.

I messaged an uber and managed to DM Harry on twitter; the last time I messaged him was to give him my hotel's number so that Niall could call me, and even then it was nerve wracking. From what I knew based on Niall's videos he'd been a friend of Niall's for a very long time; he'd do anything to protect the blond boy.

Not that I blamed him, but it's intimidating when he could simply refuse to give me Niall's address. I was starting to get nervous, the driver still not having an address until my phone gave off a small sound, a huge grin on my face as I told the driver the address and felt my stomach bubble in both happiness and excitement.

Would Niall even want to see me? Should I have just gotten a hotel instead?

All of these questions had me nervous as the driver pulled up; I paid him and took a deep breath before I made my way into the lobby, following what the message from Harry said all the way up to Niall's door. I hesitated, hand pausing right in front of the door as I bit my lip. No, I couldn't back out of this now; I had to do this.

I gave three sharp knocks, the bundle of nerves growing larger and larger in my stomach as I heard some shuffling behind the door, along with a muffled voice muttering out that he was coming to the door. The latch began to unlock, the door knob jiggling before it swung open, Niall's eyes wide as he furrowed his brows.

"Z-Zayn?"

"Hey, Ni."
