Chapter 13: Accepting the fact.

Just in time. When I walked out of the house, Jane was leaning on her black Mitsubishi car. I hopped into the passenger seat and huffed out my sudden irritation when I was reminded the incident happened a while ago.

"Di..." Once Jane went into the driver's seat, she turned and looked at me with a concern face.

"Let's go to the beach." I ordered. she didn't ask anymore question as she sighed and put the key into the ignition and drove away. She knew I was not in a mood to talk and kept quiet all the time in the car. I don't really feel awkward because she turn the radio on, making me feel less tension for a moment. We arrived at the beach after 10 minutes and as fast as I could, I hopped out of the car first. Jane took her time switching off her engine and follow me from the back.

Beach. That's where you can find a thousands of sea shells there and listen to the sound of tidal wave. That's where you can ease your mind and think straight. This is where my parents love to go to when I was young.

I lean on the tree and breathe in fresh air while sitting crossed legged. After a while, Jane joined me and hand me Mentos sweet.

"Hey bud, have some, I'm sure it'll ease your mind.." her eyes were still looking at the beautiful scenery while handing me two of it. I took the sweet and put both of them in my mouth, chewing it. Aww man, this taste great! But not to the extend where it can ease the hell out of my mind. After a while, she broke the silence.

"So.. What's your story?" she look at me. And I told her everything that happen in the house just now. Yes, everything. I know I could trust her. She listened every single thing about it, before she nod and said "I see..." and then kept quiet.

Isn't she going to say anything? That's all?

After a while, she just chuckled while shaking her head repeatedly. Now what?

"You do know that Diana's step-parents are one of a bitch?" Was the first thing she said to me. What has got to do with that woman for god sake?!

"So what?"

"Even though they have abused Diana, but then she do forgive them. she told me that she'll forgive them and give them a chance. Everyone deserves a second chance." her eyes glittering when that reminds her of her old best friend.

"Jane, that Diana is different from me goddamnit!"

"Yes!" she stress the word,

"Yes, because she's different! Her life is much more worst than yours. How can't you not forgive uncle Wayne who's always there for you whereas she can forgive those asshole!" she raised her voice.

"You're angry because he didn't tell you about your parents death and now, you're much more frustrated that he told you the truth! Really Di?? What actually do want then?"

"J, you won't understand! I was angry with him because he didn't tell me earlier!" I sigh.

"Well at least he'd tell now.. Rather than your aunt.." and she shook her head

"She'll never gonna tell you. Never."
