The night sky was cloudy and dark, with just a small bit of moon peaking out of the the clouds. It's pale light illuminated my new porch.
My porch would have been fine if it wasn't just concrete and re if the people below me didn't smoke like chimneys. But I couldn't complain, this place was nice and cheap.
I just got out of the show, I had invited they guys to stay. David left. Said he wasn't feeling up to it.
So it was Ryan, Brock, Craig and I. They were currently watching a show on tv and I was outside.
It was at least 30 degrees. It was so cold. My hair was wet, had a grey long sleeve shirt with some navy sweatpants. The clothing was nice and cozy, but the cold wind bit through the one layer of clothing.
As I looked up at the sky, thinking about everything that happened this year. It made me happy.
I was independent now, had an amazing boyfriend, I was starting a new job soon, and I was already thinking about colleges.
I still have two years till I graduate though.
It was weird. I was a junior in high school, legally aloud to live on my own, I have a drivers license but I still didn't know how to heat up pizza bites correctly.
Since I'm independent now maybe I should do independent things? But like what? As I was lost in my thoughts the door opened and Ryan walked out.
"It smells like smoke." He stated scrunching up his face and waving his head in towards the balcony.
"Smoking!" I exclaimed getting up.
He gave me a confused look. "What?"
I smiled at him. This was a stupid idea.
"I'm on my own in this deep, dark world-"
"You are not alone. Also stop being tumblr it's midnight. No deepness till afternoon." He chuckled wagging his finger like a dad.
I rolled my eyes, not believing he interrupted me. "I was saying. I should start up smoking. As a symbolism of my independence!"
He shook is head and pulled me into a hug. His head resting on mine.
"Brycie... don't do that."
And just like that, the idea was gone.
And I nodded.
"Now, lets go fight over movies with the other two before you get sick." He kissed my cheek.
I stood behind watching him as he opened the door.
He was just so perfect.
