Third Pov
Bryce's mother was setting up the table, making it all nice and neat.
Bryce had called Ryan to say he wanted to have dinner with him at the apartment around 6.
Also hinting at that he had a big surprise for Ryan, who was super confused but dressed a bit nicely just in case.Ryan had just picked up the phone to text Bryce to ask if he wanted to hang out.
He waited a bit after he woke up and the headaches went away.
He took a shower and got cleaned up, cleaned up his room too, and decided it would be better if he didn't eat just in case he felt sick again.Bryce also dressed up a little. Not to impress anyone, he just got a new set of nice clothes he wanted to show off to his boyfriend.
His mother already looked nice, she always looks nice. Motherly.
She has a soft smile and caring eyes. She looked fragile and easily broken, but the way she walked and talked everyone knew she was confident in the things she does. She wanted to make a good first impression on Ryan. The boy who was dating her only son.
She looked like an older female version of Bryce.
The smile, eyes, hair and facial features. To Bryce, he thought it was luck. Because if he looked like his father he feels like he wouldn't be able to stand himself.
Bryce heard a knock on the door and looked at his mother, who smiled widely. Unlike Bryce, who smiled nervously.
He held his flower crown and debated putting it on.
'I'll look stupid.' He thought as he stared down at the peachy colored roses. The sun from the open windows shone onto the petals.
Bryce had added small jewels to look like raindrops. When the sunlight hit it, it reflected rainbows against the crown. His mother saw her son look cautiously at the flower crown, acting as if it was a scorpion and if he made a wrong move it would sting.
She took the flower crown from her son and laid it upon his hair. She grabbed his hands and held him at arms length, she looked over him with pride filled eyes.
"You are so lovely. Can't believe I have a perfect son?" She kissed him on his cheek and walked towards the door.
She cleared her throat before she opened the door to reveal a smiling Ryan.
When he saw Bryce's mother his face fell.
"Um, hello?" Ryan tried giving a smile but failed. He wasn't expecting Bryce's mother.
She grinned at his fearful expression.
"It's been awhile, Ryan. It's nice to see you again."
She held the door open for him.He anxiously walked in.
He looked around worriedly, feeling as if something bad is going to happen.Bryce sat down some flowers, his mother had brought, onto the coffee table.
"Ryan," he excitedly ran to him."It's so good to see you. I haven't seen you in a week," Bryce hugged Ryan tightly and gave him a peck on the lips.
"It's so good to see you too. I've missed you," he returned the kiss. "I like your flower crown."
Bryce blushed and wrapped his arms around Ryan. Over Ryan's shoulder Bryce saw his mother give them a weird look. And he instantly thought she was disgusted.
But he thought wrong.
She smiled so big her eyes squinted. "You two are already so much relationship goals."
Ryan chuckled, Bryce looked shocked."Did you-"
"Yep!"
"No."
"Got that one from your cousin Alexia," she laughed.
"Of course you did." He rolled his eyes but grinned.
