My Brittle Barricade

Chapter 4

I don't know what it is with me but I feel uneasy when I'm with him .
Is it because I'm not use to being around people.

He looked at me and it was just silent I was unaware of what to do .. or say
it seem easier in the book .. but I knew none of them were real.

He sat on the bed beside me and said "did you sleep well "
I replied with a plan "yes ", and then I just said "how did get here ".

He laugh and said "well when a man and woman love each other.."
I cut him off quickly and said "no no no  i know that but I mean how did I get in here , like the room and really nice bed " then I ran my hand down the cream sheets just trying to remember the feel because let's face it , I don't know where I'll be next . But right now I know I'm in heaven.

"The last thing I remember I was .. on the road .. and it's just a blur after that .." I said trying to continue a conversation with this guy I just met.

"Well" he said .. " I was driving home and I saw you on the road pick you up and brought  you back here and I'm Nick by the way what's your name ?".

And in that point in time I came believe I never notice or even cared to have a name ... everyone , everything in the whole entire plant has a name but me ...
he just looked and ask "Do you remember you name ?"

" I don't have a name ". It's the only thing I could think of .
He laughs at me and said "what you don't have a name , where have you been living under a rock".

I really wanted to say it's worst then that but they word won't come out ..
If I only knew what plans he had .. I would run back to the basement and lock myself away forever.

His phone rang and that brought me out of my thoughts .. and he's walked away saying "I have a couple of name for you" he smiles and walked away.

I just look at him and I guess he read my mind because my insides just twisted .. and that smile and the way his eye look at me ...
I felt so uneasy.

Just as he was about to close the door he said " I'm  going back into town soon I can give you a left back if ya want?."

And  just as he finished I said "yes" straight away.
And the back of my mind racing thinking I can get away and go somewhere else but maybe I said it a bit too quickly as he looked at me and his eye turned  darker and he said "aww your not scared of me are you ?".

I swear he can read my read . I laugh a bit and said "no" but we both knew it was the complete opposite.. he just close the door and just walked away .. all I could hear was his faint laughter and footsteps.
 

I got out of bed barefoot as it took me a minute to realise I had no shoes on but I  ran over to the giant window and looked out .. trying too think of way to escape.

This  was the second person in my life who I wanted to escape and run away from.

I looked out the window and I was shocked to what I saw ... there was no way I could escape.

And I hear footsteps coming to the room .. and that same laughter that made me scared , sick and a lot more  I just didn't know how to describe it.

He open the door and I couldn't think anymore , my mind just went blank.

He just looked at me and that smile he had made me feel like he had a plan for me ..
guess I'm never gonna be free.
