Chapter 9
...
I woke up on a couch .. it was the softest couch I ever was on.
But that didn't really wake me up .. the sound of little kids laughing woke me.
I saw them on the ground surrounds with toys , teddy bears , little  baby dolls  and little cars .

I wanted to start crying again ... I'm watching the life I wanted .
The little girl saw that I was awake and came over to me.
She sat down on the couch beside me and said "
Hello , my name Meredith"
The little boy came over and stood right beside me , with a teddy bear in his arms .
Meredith then said  "This is my baby brother , his name is Johnny".
He's then smiles at me.
Meredith then said "He's 4 but doesn't talk that much and I'm 6 "

And then we started to have a whole conversation  about are favour things .. we both loved books .. .
Her favour one is The tale of peter rabbit by Beatrix Potter.
She can't read that well so her mother read for her every night before she goes to bed.

Before we know the mother is at the door watching us all.
A big bright smile on her face.
She smiles at me and walked my way.
"Hello sweetheart , glad to see you are wake , and I see the kids have introduced themselves"
The little girl Meredith laugh at that.
She then continued by saying "My name is Amanda  and this is my husband Jeremy."
He was standing by the door
I just nodded and smiles .. she handed me a glass of water and said "you must be very dehydrated sweetheart "
Yet again I nodded and started drinking.

She asked the kids to go outside and play it's was a lovely hot sunny day.
Both the kids jump up and ran outside.. And Jeremy went with them.
Meredith ran back and right to me and said " can you come outside and play too".

Before I could answer the mother said " she will in a while princess , go outside and play with Johnny and daddy ".
Meredith ran outside happy that she has a new friend to play with.

The mother turned to me and said " you can go outside and play with them but I want to ask you something"
She then pause and looked at me like I smiles and nodded . I felt save with her  like I could tell her anything and she wouldn't judge me.

She then continued " you scared Jeremy and I yesterday after Johnny found you .."
She paused them and looked down.
She turn back to me and said " you look you have not eaten in days , you had mud on you and you were all in cut and you ankle sweetheart".
After she mentions my ankle I tried to move it and it was wrapped in something ..
I freaked out bit but Amanda  held me and said " no sweetheart it's ok my husband Jeremy is a doctor , he bandaged it , it's just bruised."
I took a breath then and I was shaking a bit .. she gave me the water again.

She then said " I am a therapist in a school .. so you want to talk I'm here?"

I started crying then .. I never had anyone to talk to ..

She just sat there and listen to me she didn't say a word ..
I told her things that I never wanted to remember, or ever think about ..
I told her that I blame myself for my mother leaving .. how she looked at me as a baby and didn't want me .. and how I felt responsible for my father dying .. I told her that I felt that there was a monster following me and making my life hell ...
I told her how stepmother came into my life .. how she hit me , lock me away .. call me things .. and let her friends hurt me and do what they like.
I then told her I ran away and how I saw my house  and how it was ruined and I even told her about  nick.

The last thing I told her as " all my life I have felt unsafe , unwanted  and useless".

I then turned to look at her. Her eyes was full of water and then next thing she said to me made me the happiest I have ever bring.

She said " sweetheart I want you, you are save here ".

She then said " I'll be back in one moment "
She then walked out of the room.

It must have been 20 minutes later and I was still in the room and the kids weren't outside playing, and just as I was about to get up .. my ankle hurt and I could not walk on my foot I sat back down and they all came back into the room .. and Meredith ran to me Johnny running after her .. and Meredith said " your my sister now , I've always wanted a older sister ".
Both the kids hugged me and Amanda sat down beside me and Jeremy  beside her and she said " Jeremy and I would  like you to stay here with us "

I nodded and said " I would love that".
