My Brittle Barricade

Chapter 25

I was just laying down in the bed bedside nick.
He had his arm around  me and he was fast asleep.
His phone  was flashing on the table at the bottom of the bed.
I didn't want to be in bed any more the only thing I could thing about was the dream I had. About the baby and that woman in white.

I got out of the bed and walked to the kitchen.
My phone time was like 3:38am
I was so tired but ever time I closed my eyes and went to sleep I couldnt or get that women or dream out of my head.

I went downstairs and got a glass of water and looked outside.
I only saw darkness not a star or moon in the sky.
I sat down on a chair and thought if stepmother isn't my first step mother then who am I, where am I from. How do I even find out this information.
I started to drift off to sleep again and that women was here again but this time it was only me and her.
She wanted me to follow her, I think I was running after her. And we were laughing and having fun.
I knew this must have been a dream because I was a little kid maybe 5 and I was with the women in white.
Just as I thought of stepmother it started to get dark in this dream.
The women in white looked scared, like something was behind me and hurting me.
Just as I was turning around I banged my head in the table.
and then Vic walked in.
He slightly laughed at me banging my head.
As I had my hand pressed against my head I looked at my phone it was like 4:22am.
Vic placed a frozen bag on my head where I banged it.
I asked him " what are you doing up so early"
" what are you doing sleeping down here"he replied.
Not answering my early question .
I replied by saying " I keep having this strange dream that keeps me awake"
He looked at me and then like his brother he had that smile on his face.
" haha just say it baby you were dreaming about me."
I looked at him shocked and said  " no not ever".
I might of said that a bit to strongly and he looked hurt but he's like his brother.
He put his hand over his heart and looked hurt. And I just knew he was joking.
" now what are you doing up this early In the morning" I asked him.
" I have to deliver something to someone, you can come if you want" he said.
" well I am with your brother i think that it's just right I get to know you"
I said walking off to his car. And just like his brother he smiled at my cheeky reply.

We both go into his car and he drove down the road.
I asked him " what are you doing delivering something this early in the morning."
"All part of the job" he said.
" so your job is delivering thing to people " I said.
" what's with the 20 questions " he said in a harsh tone.

He pulled into a car park and there was another car waiting he told me to stay in the car while he got into that other car.
It must have been 20 minutes later and Vic came out and he had a black bag in his hand. He placed it in the back of the car and got Back Into the car and we drove off.

He said that he had one more stop to make and then we can go home.
Now it was like nearly 8am and I knew nick would be waking up soon and he I knew he wouldn't like it if I wasn't there.

  He drove up to another house and like before i stayed in the car and he ran in with the bag in the back.

While Vic was in the house my phone buzzed. It was a text from lily.
She had found another party to go to.
And of course I texted her back saying "that I'll go", but I also texted her saying "that it's 8:37am how did you know about this party or even find it".
But her reply was just " it's a gift."
Vic came back to the car and we drove home.

I walked through the door and walked into mine and nicks bedroom.
He was sitting up on the bed topless and I did like the view I was seeing.
I climbed into bed beside him and hugged him.
He pulled me away and asked " where the hell have you been "
I looked at him and said " I was out with Vic"
He looked at me and turned my way more " what do you mean out with Vic" he asked
" I was downstairs and Vic came down and he said that he had to go town and drop something off and that it's your job and that I could come" I told him.

Nick seemed angry.
"What's the problem , you seem angry" I asked him backing away from him a bit.
" I'm not angry with you baby" he said dragging me back into his arms.

We both started to lay down in the bed and  I fell asleep.
I felt nick beside me and that women in white didn't come near me.
But after a while nick got up and I was still fast asleep.
And the minute he left the room I was back dreaming in that castle.
I was following the women in white again and she was bringing me up some stairs .
These stairs where spiral and I kept tripping on the steps they were wonky and I didn't see anyone else it was like this women in white was bring me down hidden paths in this castle.
I kept asking her who are you but she was just looking at me.
It was like she wanted to answer but she couldn't speak to me.
Something was stopping her.

It was dark out side now the last room we entered was like a kitchen but when we entered the kitchen she disappeared.
and near the back door was the old man from before and beside him was the women in white.
But they couldn't see me. But that wasn't what took me but surprised.
I saw nick.he looked the same as before.
And I think I saw me again but I must have been no older then 2.
I was given to a women outside and then we got into a horse and cart.
I was crying so much.
I was still in the kitchen and I could feel that little girl crying.
She disappeared from my view but I could hear her loud cried it was ringing in my head.

The women in white which I guess in this dream was meant to be my mother.
She was hugging the man which might be my father but this is all a dream, it can't be real.

Just then a old women in black that came into the kitchen and it was the same women that attack them before she just ran in and she had a high pitched laugh.
She look around and I guess she couldn't find what she wanted.
The next I saw was a big flash and I woke up beside nick.

After that the day flew by and now me and lily were getting ready for a party.
I walked into the house it was full of people and lily ran off to meet friends and I walked in to the kitchen to get a drink.
Their was a couple making out in the corner and one other girl near the table on her phone.
She was in ripped jeans and leather jackets and her hair was long straight and brown.
She saw me looking at her and we just smiled at each other.
I asked her "do you want a drink " she said " no I'm fine, I have water."
We both sat down near the table and we started to talk.
" so are just gonna sit down here and be on your phone."I asked her.
" I'm reading a good story on Wattpad, and I think this party is boring" she said.
" your reading what ???" I asked her.
" it's a book site where you can read fanfic, and my favourite are anything kpop related. And if you don't know any kpop you have no taste in music." She said.

" I've never heard of kpop " I said to her.
" well you ain't leaving this table until I tell you every bit about BTS to Big Bang to EXO and so much more" she said
"Well do you want to ditch this party and get some food." I asked her.
" I do Fancy some chicken" she said.

We started to leave and I said "im Beatrix by the way."
" I'm Shannon."  She said.
