My Brittle Barricade

Chapter 21

So now I was standing in their office and all I could hear was Vic shouting at lily.
And then doors slamming and a car driving off.
I know I didn't want Vic to come in and I was thinking of a way to escape I was by the window and I tried to open it but I was locked.
The door open and I felt sick I wanted it to be nick but it wasn't.
It was Vic he came in and locked the door behind him.
And I instantly thought this can't be good.
I was in deep trouble.
And I didn't even do anything wrong.

I was confuse to why he locked the door.
Then I heard nick trying to open the door and then banging on it when he found out that it was locked.
No wonder he locked it he want to kill me and didn't want nick in the room.
Yep that's what is gonna happen.

Vic said to me " do you know where lily brought you "
I said "no"
Nick wasn't outside the door now and I was scared.
I never felt save when I was with Vic.
I don't know what it was but there was always something's about him that made me want to run away from them and the whole place. And situation. Or just run to nick
Can't believe I'm saying that.

" you see we have a business that important to us and we don't like outsider coming in and disturbing that " Vic said to me.
"Ok " I said kind of confused he wasn't making any sense.
" well me say it like this then , are business that we run it's private and anyone that find out about our business well , we make sure they don't tell anyone."
I started to nod my head and I was thinking to my self that this is it he's going to take out his Gun and kill me now.
" I don't know anything about your business and I won't tell anyone"
He started to turn around and face a bookshelf .
I was thinking About running to the door but I was shaking I knew I wouldn't make it and he would kill me before I make it to the door.
I don't even think I can make it 2 steps away with out him turning around and killing me.
What ever business they had it involves guns and killing and something was telling me he was good and it.
Vic was definitely the scary type.

Then a hidden door opened and it was nick.
He held out his hand for me to take and I ran to him.
And in the process knocking over a folder on the table and I was running to nick and Vic was running after me and nick closed and locked this hidden door before he could get me.
I was hugging nick at this point and I felt safe.
Vic was trying his best to knock down this hidden door.
But I noticed nick wasn't hugging me back and his mood had changed.
"Are you angry with me" I said.
"No I'm angry with everyone else" he said
Vic was trying to knock down the door still and nick grabbed my hand and we started to run down this hidden paths
We were making left and right turned and I was lost but we made it outside.

He brought me to his car and we started to drive down the road and and Vic came running out and ran in front of the car.
Nick was pressing the gas peddle but Vic wasn't moving. He had a gun in his hand nick told me to get down.
I did well of course I did Vic had a gun and I knew the next bullet would be for me.

Nick pressed the peddle and Vic didn't move and nick ran him over with his car.
He rolled of the car and I looked back and he was just laying on the ground.
I was screaming at nick to go back and see if he's brother was ok but he just kept driving down the dirty bumpy road and said " it's ok he's fine"

After a long while of us not talking he pulled the car over.
He then pulled out a cloth and it look like it was drenched in something.
He then grabbed the back of my head and put the cloth over my mouth.
I wasn't strong enough to push him of me and this cloth was making me feel very sleepy and weak next thing I knew I was falling asleep.
My eyes got heavy And then I black out.

I woke up in a bed.
I never been in this room before and it was dark outside.
I heard voices coming from the room outside.
I sat up and my head felt light.
I got out of the bed and my legs felt like they were asleep.
I looked outside and I must have been at a beach because I heard the sound of waves.
I open the door and walked out .
I wasn't wearing any shoes and the sand when in between my toes.

Just then the door opens and nick walked in.
He looked at the bed and he didn't look happy when I wasn't there and he didn't see me outside and he was about to walk away and I started to walk back.
My mind was racing and screaming at me He doesn't know your outside run.
Just then I fell over some chair and he looked out at me.
His eyes went dark and I got up and started to run away and he started to come after me.
I felt so scared I didn't want to be here with him.
I didn't feel save.
After every thing I can't trust him.
No matter how much I want to trust him I can't.

Just as I was running I felt his arms wrap around me and lift me up and I started to kick him and scream.
" no one can hear you, stop it " he shouted
I was in the water now the waves were massive and I pushed him in the water and he dragged me in with him and before I knew it the water was dragging us deeper and deeper.

I couldn't breathe.
The water was dragging me under and when I managed to get up and go above the water a wave brought me back under and nick wasn't helping me one bit.
He was trying to grab me and I didn't like it.

I was under the water and maybe I was under it too long because I couldn't breath and I opened my mouth and the water was just filling in my lungs and time just slowed down and I felt my heart slowing down and I just felt like I was sinking down to the bottom of the ocean
I couldn't feel anything and I was happy my life was going to end , maybe I could see my family auntie and uncle.
Maybe I could hear Johnny laugh again and get a hug from Meredith.
Then I felt their locket around my neck.
It was floating in the water and I saw a little light coming for me.
I wasn't sad or scared.
I was happy to be going.
I saw Meredith floating and she was coming closer and closer to me.
She didn't look happy it was like she shaken her head.
It was like she was telling me I not meant to go yet.
She was standing right be side me and he face was blank
This wasn't the Meredith I got to know and love.
My locket got lose and it wrapped around my hand and I felt a pair of arms wrap around me and those arms dragged me away from Meredith and as I moved away from Meredith she disappeared.

The minute I was above the water I blacked out.
