"It has been three days, child." The man sitting on the throne said to the newcomer clad in purple.

"M-my apologies, milord." The newcomer said, and stooped down to one knee. "But I have met some grievous circumstances that resulted to my own demise."

"Ahh, always keep in mind that you are not the strongest, child." The man stood and went towards the newcomer. He held out his empty hands, which made the latter shake, but instead, he used them to pet her head. "Was it a monster? Did you fall to traps? Or another player killed you?

"A-a weak guild's guild master, milord." The kneeling one said, enjoying the soft hand on her head. "I-I tried to crush them, but she was stro- cheating. Yes, milord, cheating."

"A sorry resort to unfair judgment, then?" He stopped what he was doing and turned to the wind hole in the north hole, admiring the stars of the virtual world. "What guild is it, that dared to harm, and worse, my favorite disciple?"

"H-holocaust—" She didn't finish her sentence, because in an instant, the once solemn aura of the room they were in became so thick that started to choke her. "M-milord, I-I can't..."

The man, startled, took a look at his young disciple and realizing what he did wrong, immediately stopped the leakage of his power, turning the atmosphere back to its lonely reverie. "My apologies, Grueth. I got agitated." At Grueth's understanding nod, he added. "Holocaust, you say? Only one company has the guts to hold that name as their own. Even the Germans despite it."

"T-they are only a few members, m-milord." Grueth said.

"That's why we need to stop them, now." The man opened his inventory and grabbed a guild horn. He turned it on, and started talking. "Members of the Higher and Lower council of the Gaul. We need to discuss an important matter. I will expect your presence in the whole of Orients in two minutes." As the horn turned off, he added in a low but menacing voice. "We've got a war to start."

"M-milord?" Grueth asked.

"Grueth," he started, smiling. "The best way to stop a fire is to prevent it."

"Y-your words are full of knowledge, Lord Xin Archdearth."

"And besides, I myself have a grudge on their leader." He added, and looked at the stars from the wind hole again. Memories of an old world rivalry swept through his head as he clenched his fists hard. "Kanzaki."
