As he moved fluidly across the stage
The look of arrogance in his eyes
And then his true beauty burst out
He let the music run through him
His heart pumped in accordance to the beats
An overwhelming feeling wrapped around him
He could hear the blood rushing in his ears
Echoing around
Mixing with the melody
Letting go of everything
He built up his movements
Ready for the drop
His body tense
He leaped into the air
Landing in a crouch
Balanced in the position
Silence
A drop of sweat dripped down his forehead and onto the stage
He heard the applause
Resonating from the lone man that occupied the theatre
...it brought a smile to his face
He took a deep breath
And continued his routine
Emotions flared across his face
Love,sorrow, joy, pain
Slowly his feet started to move at a different pace
Disjoint to the music altogether,
Yet matching the melancholy emitted by the singer's voice
And with the build of the cresendo,
Everything got faster
And in a flash,
It was over.
He took a crooked bow
The only amount to which his back relented to bend
The lone occupant stood up with tears in his eyes
And walked towards the dancer
'You have been my inspiration today'
He said
The dancer was stunned for a moment
'Passion can make one do miraculous things, father'
And with those words,
They departed together.
A far off observer saw the lights go off in the theatre
And two men emerged
One on crutches, walking with the help of the other
Both looked happy
Yet somehow their stance reflected sorrow
For them, the world would be completely different the next day
But presently
They had each other for support,
And that was all that mattered deep within...
