I walked away
Tears trailing down my cheeks
For the truth hurt…
His words
So pure,
Consoled me.
His warmth
Welcoming,
Comforted me.
He was my solace
In times of need,
He was my strength
In times unforseen.
My emotions
A reflection of his
For it was he,
Who governed my heart
Who governed my soul.
For it was he
Who could hence,
Hurt me the most.
So I left
Without a backwards glance
Hurt and bleeding
Before his words
Cut me open whole
Before his words
Killed me.
