Isn't it time that we no longer divided people on the basis of their colour
Isn't it time that we accepted the sexual orientation of another person
Isn't it time that we turned to our neighbouring nations and extended a hand of peace
Isn't it time to look at people as human beings alike
To put the notion of humanity before any other aspect, be it nationality or gender
In these times when people in power try to divide the world, shouldn't we speak out against it instead of following in the wrong footsteps?
Do you not see that the person you're assulting, who you have never seen before in your life, is simply someone who just happens to be from another nation, just happens to be walking by you, just happens to be living life, just happens to have unknowingly triggered hatred within your cold heart!
Do you not see them as people like you and me?
Do you not see them as a fellow human being like you and me?
Are you so blinded by these wrong influences that death of another is meaningless? Because why not, you are doing all this in the name of your nation!
For patriotism stands above all!
Above all?
Even humanity?
What is the world coming to?
Weren't we supposed to be moving towards a peaceful tomorrow?
Is the idea of spreading kindness and love across borders, yet, just an idea?
An illusion that people like me try to strive for?
Are we ever going to achieve that harmony?
Because I'm ready to take a step,
A step towards maturity
