The smell of pancakes and bacon crack through my door when Jake came to wake me up. "Good morning beautiful, "he said while setting the smiley face pancakes down next to my bed.
"Good morning babe, "I responded without opening my eyes. Last night I pounded on what to wear today and yet I still had not one clue. When Jake picked out my clothes before I moved in, he made sure to buy "special day "outfits.
I smiled and walked to the opposite side of the room. Do I want to wear my navy blue dress or the cherry red dress? The blue seem best for the snow that covered the ground outside. I know it fell clumsily from the dress, landing on my foot. I picked it up and read "day one poem "across the top. Was there a special occasion I missed? I read it while getting dressed:

"Roses are red, violets are blue, my heart is filled with love for you. Ella, I want you to know that my love for you is like no other. You are the apple of Mayeye. Ever since second grade I've been holding these feelings in, and now I can finally express myself.  Ella, I love you. "  ~ Jake – (#1)

I was absolutely flattered. I finished getting dressed and ran to Jake. With the notes still in hand, I gave Jake a big hug. Then I whispered "I love you too"  into his chest.
Without another word, only smiles, we both walked away to finish getting ready. 20 more minutes until go time.

"Thanks for the breakfast "I said once we were in the car. Any excuse to use my voice. I've headed back for two days now but I still couldn't get over how beautiful it was. Even better than before surgery.
"It was the least I can do for you, my love. "Jake reached across the center counsel and grab my hand with a smile. Did he know this made my body go all tingly inside when he did this? After a long pause Jake spoke again, "I knew you're going to pick the dress. By the way, it looks great on you."
"Thanks babe, may I ask who picked it out?"
"Me. All by myself. Do you like it?"
"Oh I love it? Great job. "I felt the car turn so I looked up. We had turned into the school parking lot. But he has became a fidgety as a nervous habit. Jake walked over to my door and open it for me as I gathered my things into my backpack. The snow was at least 3 inches high around the parking lot. No I was disappointed for not bringing my boots.
"Welcome to Johnson high where your dreams get crushed by teachers and Butthead like Parker." Did he really have to scare me before I could go to my first class? "Sorry" he said, reading my expression.
"I understand, you got carried away while looking at him." I could see the way Jake's face went all dark and serious when he spotted Parker from beyond the cars. "Why don't you go get things settled between you two while explore."
"You must've hit your head while getting out of the car. I would begin to imagine what could possibly happen to you. With your luck, your trip and break your nose or something. No offense."
Yeah no offense taken Jake. I nudged him in the shoulder. "I'm going to get my schedule from the office while you go get your friend back." find out we were looking at each other face-to-face.
Jake sighed and responded, "you're so lucky I love you. But please don't get hurt or start a fight with anyone!"
"I'll try," I mumbled and walked away, heading for the door. Were all high schools this big? Simlynn High definitely wasn't this bad! There were three doors near the south side of the school and I couldn't tell which one was the main door. Usually I go is Jake but considering he was already talking to Parker, I stayed put.
"May I help you? Looks like you're lost." A blond haired, brown eyed girl came up from behind me. "I'm Lola the way." Lola. The girl Jade talked about from band camp.
Although Jake warned me about her, I did need a little guidance. "Umm yes" I said shyly, "could you help me find the office please?"
She walk me to the office door and I said a polite thank you. And she walked back outside, I realized I never introduced myself. I guess that's because she never gave me the chance to. Seriously, she talked more than Jakes mom!
