The man I called Sir was now my commanding officer. He prefers the name commander now. He would remind me every time he would make me run drills with the other operatives in the base. Now that I was no longer a prisoner, I had the liberty to know a few things around the base.

The first detail to notice was that I was now moved to my own quarters. It was smaller than the room I was previously in, but it was better than a prison cell.

Something else I noticed was that the commander would address the soldiers in rather strong and rude ways. He said it builds character, I believe it is rude.

Winston was kind enough to allow me access to his study room in the base. He said that since my abilities were being blocked by his inhibitor bracelet, he had nothing to worry about.

"You all deserve an extra mile for slacking off and holding the line back!" The commander shouted as he dashed passed us. He had me and the small group of other soldiers run laps around the base. It was a different view from the outside. The area was filled with technological advances, and the view over the horizon was breathtaking. Something else that was breathtaking was how the commander made us run so much.

"Aaaand HALT!" We all stopped and stood before the commander, the man in the same Physical Training uniform that we all wore, but he still had his visor on. I wondered how he would breath with it on. I was feeling winded, but the rest of the men seemed exhausted.

"That was a decent run today, but I expect you all to step it up tomorrow. Dismissed." All the men exhaled in relief and went their separate ways, but I stood there, breathing heavily and watching the commander walk towards the locker rooms. He stopped and looked at me, shaking his head.

"David."

"Yes commander?" I stood in attention, eyes on my commander.

"I said dismissed. That means you can go now." He turned and walked away, leaving me in the middle of the base. I looked around and decided to head back to my quarters. Thankfully it had a working bathroom.

Back in my quarters I had just gotten out of the shower and started to get dressed. As I was fumbling to put on this shirt that was given to me I watched the small holo video news cast from an alarm clock on my bed stand. There were reports of two criminals attacking the bank at Kings Row. I paused to hear it, but much to my relief it was the criminals known as Junkrat and Roadhog. I was given information on those two as well, even if they were not Overwatch members, Reaper told me to worry about them.

"Hey do you know where that big ape is at? I can't seem to find him any.... Hey, you look new here." The sound of a female voice came up from the open door of my quarters. It wasn't Dr. Ziegler, but it sounded familiar, somehow.

When I turned around it was like a blast of memory hit me. Memories that I have never experienced, but learned from my former teammate. This woman in front of me was the one who attacked Widowmaker on her mission.

"Tracer." I said in a serious tone, my arm extending forward to defend myself. It took me a moment to realize what I was doing. I had my shirt on one arm and neck, with my arm out to this woman thinking that my abilities would work. I had forgotten about the inhibitor. How careless of me.

Tracer looked me over with a confused yet amused expression, then walked up to me and grabbed my hand, skating it. She was greeting me. "Cheers love. Who might you be?"

"I am David. I just got taken in by my commander as a new recruit." I slid the shirt on correctly, smoothing my hands down my torso. It was a tight fit, and it felt odd.
