Hi y'all! Just wanted to say that this chapter has to be my most favorite one yet & I hope y'all enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it. I was really hesitant at first because I didn't know if I actually wanted this chapter, but once I began writing, everything just began to flow together & I'm just legit happy. This chapter is just so raw & I don't know... Anyway, enough with my rambling & please, continue on to the chapter (; Enjoy!

CHAPTER 33: Tight

Kyle's POV

I was angry and he knew I was. I knew he'd had a soft spot for me ever since I started working with him so he knew me pretty well. And of course, my outburst had made it rather obvious.

I look around and realise Christian was nowhere in sight.

Suddenly, as if knowing that I had been looking for him, he comes out of the kitchen holding two glasses and a bottle.

"Well, she got my pale beauty very upset, huh?" He smiles as he opens the bottle of scotch and pours some into each glass.

"Women," I scoff, "They're very complicated and frankly, very annoying."

Christian lets out an amused chuckle and I let the alcohol go down my throat.

"They're not all bad, Kyle, but men are definitely less complicated, but of course," he takes a sip of his scotch and looks at me in a peculiar way, "can be equally pleasing- if not more."

Christian's eyes don't waver. He continues to look at me with his ice blue eyes. He'd usually give me those intense stares and I knew he was deeply concentrated and in this moment, I was the mark of his concentration.

I look away from him and his lips twitch when I hastily finish my bit of scotch.

"Relax, Kyle. You know I won't do anything without your consent; however, I never do seem to lose interest in you."

I smirk. "You know, I never know whether you're serious or not."

He smirks back. "What do you think?"

"I don't think you're joking at all."

He pours himself more scotch. "Then you're absolutely right."

I tip my glass to him so he'd refill it. "Then when we talked on the phone that one time and I said I'd-"

He refills my glass and sets the bottle back down. "Yes."

I stay quiet and just look at my glass. Just thinking about what was being said. I was amused.

"There's really nothing to think about, Kyle," he says and he looks me over, "you've grown very well."

He suddenly puts his glass down and gets up and I look up at him, genuinely curious as to what he was going to do. He stands in front of me and takes the glass away from me, then sets it down next to his while giving me that same intense ice-blue stare.

"My initial intention when I came to see you was simply just to visit, but it's really a whole different thing seeing you in person," he looks me over again which makes me smirk.

"Thanks, Christian."

His ice-blue eyes seem to sparkle.

"How long have you waited?" I ask suddenly and get up, too.

He grins at me. "Very long."

"I bet."

He'd probably wanted to try something for at least half of the years he'd known me. What patience... I hadn't really known Wendy for very long- not even 6 months and I was already very much dying for her.
