"Whose house are we going to first, I feel like we have been in the car forever. You drive like a grandma." Olive complained from the backseat. "Ummmm, mine duhh. And I do not drive like a grandma." Rebecca spoke at the red light we had just stopped at. "Yeah, she doesn't traffic is just bad." I said Sarcastically from the passenger seat looking back at Olive. "I say we change the subject now, and you tell us who you were texting and smiling at your phone." Rebecca asked me with a curious look on her face. "Ummm none of your business." I told them both, which apparently they took seriously and shut up about it. I was kind of glad they weren't pushing me to talk about it, because then I would end up losing my uncontrollable temper with them, which I didn't want to do being while we were planning a road trip. And the last thing I needed was for them to ditch me that one only make my conditions worse.

We pulled in to Becca's driveway and she turned the car off and jumped out. Shouting behind her "I'll be right back." Olive and I yelled out the open windows "Make it quick. Only the necessities." "I know that, I'm not stupid." She shouted back at us. "Sorry. We were kidding." I yelled at her.

30 minutes later
After sitting in the car for nearly half an hour and Rebecca had not returned yet. I landed over and turned the keys in the ignition then I turned on the radio out of boredom and This Town by Niall Horen was playing. I started to sing along and then I turned it all the way up, causing Olive and I to glance at each other and then we started singing as loud as possible. Causing Rebecca to come running out laughing and telling us to turn it down. "Open the trunk." She shouted above the music. I leaned over to the driver side door and pushed the button that opens the trunk. She quickly threw her bag in the trunk and got back in the car, then we took off. "What took you si long, we said quick?!?" I asked out of pure curiosity and slightly out of annoyance because it was now 6:17 and we needed to be back at my place by 7:00. "I'm sorry, I had to convince my parents because they did not want me to stay the night over there on a school night. God." She partially shouted at me. "I'm sorry. You should have done that earlier. Alec is supposed to be at my house by 7:00 and I have to unlock my window." I snapped right back at her. Then Olive from the back seat says "Guys don't argue, it's not worth it. It only takes 4 or 5 minutes to get to my house and I will already told my parents and they're cool with it. And it will only take me 10 minutes to get my things together, I can use some of your makeup Skylar." "You're right Olive, we're sorry." I told her then I apologized to Rebecca for going off like that and she apologized to me. Now that we were cool all three of us were singing along to Ed Sheeran's new song Castle on the Hill.

It was nearly 6:30 by the time we got to Olive's house. "Please hurry, Olive." We asked as politely as we could. "I will guys don't worry, be back in 10." She replied. When she was out of sight Becca looked at me and said "I really am sorry about getting angry with you." "It's fine, I shouldn't have responded like I did. It's just I feel like I have to shut everyone else out, it's like a habit now. I can't help what I say anymore, everything just slips." I said letting her into my head for once. "Oh, you don't need to feel that way you can let us in. Oh and I've been meaning to ask you. What took so long for you to get out of the truck after we did?" She curiously asked and genuinely smiled at me probably to make me feel like I can let her in but that will never happen again. And I couldn't tell her about the broken boy whose name was Ryan it wasn't any of her business which meant I had to go back to lying. "Nothing I thought I had dropped my keys but then I realized that they were in my bag." I lied hoping she would believe me. "Okay whatever." She said. As soon as she finished talking Olive was opening the backseat door.

Rebecca put the car in reverse and slowly backed out of the drive way and then she put the car back in drive and stepped on the gas and zoomed out of this neighborhood back to the main road. "Woah, Rebecca what was that?" Olive asked but before she could answer my phone started ringing. It was Alex I quickly answered my phone.
"Hello weirdo." I answered
"Hey physo, where are you guys?" He asked.
"We are on the way back to my house we went by Rebecca's and Olive's houses to get their clothes. And Rebecca took 30 minutes to get her crap together." I informed him.
"Oh hurry up I'm almost at your place I had Levi take by my house to get clothes and then he said he would drop you off at your place." Alec told me.
"That's nice of him." I said in between giggles remembering our conversation from earlier.
"What's so funny?" He asked.
"Oh, nothing really." I told him.
"Whatever physco see you later. I will be waiting in the tree that I have to climb to get to your window." He said laughing. I could hear Levi in the background teasing Alec. Levi was the only one of Alec's friends that was actually nice to me ever since my parents died.
"Okay weirdo bye" I hung up the phone.

"Who was that?" My friends asked me. "It was Alec." I told them. "Of course it was why did he call you and not us." Olive questioned me. "Maybe because I've been friends with him since 3rd grade and we used to be inseparable." I said sarcastically. It was silent the whole ride back to my house, that I refused to call home. We pulled into the driveway at 7:15 and Alec was already sitting in the tree waiting for me to unlock his window. Although he left his bag on the ground and told us to grab it for him. I quickly ran up to the door and unlocked it, trying to get up to my room as quickly as possible because I had no idea how long he had been in that tree.
