After about five minutes of silence and just sitting in the car not going anywhere Becca finally decides to question us.
"When?" She asked us.
"Today." Alec said.
"How did this happen? Why didn't you tell us?" Becca asked.
"Well when he found me in the hallway he told me everything. And I asked why now. And then he just kissed me and I kissed him back. I don't exactly know how. We just didn't know how you would react to it." I said.
"Oh. It doesn't really matter. Are you like together or have you just been making out?" She asked again.
"It's only been one day Becca." Alec said.
I could tell that he didn't want to talk about it. I could also tell that he still thought it was his fault.
I met his eyes with mine but he moved his away from mine. I didn't want Alec to be upset but it might be a bit too late for that.
"Are we done with the questions?" Alec asked.
"Sure..." Becca said.
"Well let's go then!" I said reaching over and squeezing Alec's biceps. Trying to lighten the mood and make him less tense.
"Okay." He smiled at me before taking out his phone. Then he points to mine.
Alec: choose the music! Oh and if you ever want to feel my biceps or muscles you could just say something. Lmao!
I put my phone away and smile at him. I'm glad that he isn't upset anymore.
I search through the radio stations once we are out of the gas station but I once again find nothing worth my time. So I take out my phone and go to YouTube. At least with this I can choose what ever I want to listen to. I pick a random playlist and let it play.
Alec sang along to most of the songs. I knew he knew these songs.
.........
It was getting latter in the day and I could tell Alec was getting tired. I offered to drive but he wouldn't let me. It was nearly 5 pm. We needed to stop and get something to eat. It had been along day and all I ate was a milkshake and a snickers. So in other words I was hungry and I am sure my friends were too.
We drove past many restaurants but we didn't know how any of them would taste so we stuck to what we knew and pulled into a Wendy's parking lot.
None of our parents had tried to reach us. My aunt probably thinks I am at Olive or Rebecca's while their parents probably think the same. And then Alec is always at practice around this time.
"I am surprised that our phones aren't all going off right now." Alec said while stretching.
We all just nodded our heads. Riding in a car takes a lot out of a person.
"Are we going to find a hotel after this?" I asked.
"Yeah!" Alec shouted.
"Okay. And we are only getting one room?" I asked.
"Yes Sky only one room." Alec said moving closer to me and whispering. "Unless you want to-" Before he could finish his sentence I said. "Let's go eat!"
This earned cheers from Olive and Becca and a smile from Alec.
We had a plan that I was paying for the hotel room because they could be expensive, Olive was paying for meals, Becca was paying for snacks and drinks along the way and Alec was paying for gas. It seemed fair enough.
