Chapter Twenty-one

Skylar's POV

I awoke to sounds of laughter, not knowing how long I slept for. But it turns out we had already picked up Becca and Olive.

"Oh hey guys!" I said. Smiling at them.

"Sky! You're awake!" Rebecca leaned forward and hugged me.

"Finally!" Olive screamed.

Our group of friends was like the craziest group ever.

"How long did I sleep?" I asked looking around the car at their faces.

"Not long. I literally just picked them up." Alec said while glancing over at me and smiling.

"Oh well good!I haven't missed anything then!" I said. Returning Alec's perfect smile.

"Are we going to stop at a gas station and get snacks or something?" I asked.

"Already wanting to stop Sky?" Alec joked.

"Yes for two reasons to be exact. 1) I am really hungry because all I ate today was a milkshake and 2) I also really have to pee." I stated matter of factly.

"Okay, okay! You win we will stop. But the closest gas station is like 10 minutes away." He said.

"Okay. I can wait that long." I told him.

"You guys had milkshakes without us!!!" Olive and Rebecca shouted from the backseat.

"Uhhh, yeah! We left school and I really wanted a milkshake. And I am letting you know that it was Soooo good!" I said rubbing my stomach.

"I bet it was!" Olive shouted.

"Why didn't you guys tell me that you were leaving school?" Rebecca asked. I guess she was feeling left out since she was the only person that didn't know.

"Well you see Alec over here came looking for me in the hallways and I guess he was so loud that the vice principle heard him and decided to chase us down. It was really intense." I explained to them. Although that is not the reason that he decided to chase us.

"You guys went swimming!" They said matter of factly. While holding up mine and his bathing suits.

"Yeah!" I stated.

"Why didn't you guys pick us up sooner?" Rebecca asked. I am guessing that she didn't know what happened.

"We didn't want to risk the vice principle still standing outside waiting for us to come back!" Alec said.

"Oh and Sky. I was wondering what happened between you and that guy last night?" Becca said raising her eyebrows at me.

I saw Alec instantly tense up at the mention of Ryan. He had a hurt look on his face and I wish that there was something I could do but there is not. I hate that I hurt Alec but I know that if Ryan knew what had happened today he would be as equally hurt.

"Earth to Sky!" Becca shouted.

"Oh. Nothing happened between us." I said.

This gained a look from Alec. I guess he knew the way I felt. He could tell my every emotion based on a series of expressions or just the fact that my voice changed the slightest.

"Are you sure?!?!" Becca teased.

"Maybe we should just drop the subject." Alec said giving Rebecca a stop look.

"Okay. Fine." She said. Dang Becca never gave up this easily.

"Can we listen to music?" I asked Alec.
