Chapter Twenty

Skylar's POV

Alec kissed me! Not just that but I kissed him back! Do I have feelings for him? Maybe I do. We are on our way to get milkshakes now because we had no other option than to flee the school after nearly being caught by the vice principle! And believe me it was close! I never knew that our vice principle was that in shape or was I just out of shape?

I glance over at Alec and he is gleaming while searching through the radio stations and finally deciding to stop on a station that is playing an all time low song. He taps his fingers to the beat of the song. Backseat Serenade. It was a great song.

We arrive at Cookout because uhh their milkshakes are literally the best. I order and oreo mint milkshake with extra mint and Alec just gets a plain chocolate milkshake. LAME! We get back in his car to enjoy our milkshakes.

I have so many questions for him but I don't know where to start and I don't want him to feel like this is an interogation. We need to talk about what happened.

I can't even tell how I feel because I really like Ryan but then there is Alec. Why did he have to come and complicate things?

"What are you thinking about?" He asked.

"Nothing!" I say smiling at him.

"Sure... I have only known you since third grade and know what your every facial expressions mean!" He said rolling his eyes.

"Come on Alec. Do you really want to know?" I ask.

"Not anymore!" He said.

Why did this always happen? I could tell that I had upset him and I am thinking that he is thinking about Ryan and I. Possibly imagining the things that could have happened between us last night. And I don't blame him. Everything about it looked bad but nothing happened.

"Alec I am confused." I said looking into his ocean blue eyes. I have always loved his eyes.

"Don't be. I understand that it has to be difficult. And I am sorry. If Olive wouldn't have told you then you would probably never know." He said calmly.

"A part of me already knew Alec. I just kept denying it. And it is difficult." I said.

"Sky." He said.

"What?" I asked.

"I will love you forever. It wouldn't matter if you were with him. I would still love you." He said.

"Alec but if that happened it would be torture to you." I said.

Alec has always been there for me when I needed him. He was always there. And now I know why. I know that he loves me but do I love him too?

"Are you almost done with your milkshake?" He asks holding out his hand to take it.

"Oh yeah! Here you go weirdo." I hadn't even realized that I had already ate the whole thing. Or that he had finished his.

"Of course! Anything for you physco." He said smiling at me. I had to admit he had an excellent smile.

"Well I am going to throw this away and then we could go to the lake or something until we have to pick Rebecca and Olive up." He said.

"Okay I will wait right here in your car!" I said. Pulling out my phone to make sure Olive got my bag.

Me: Olive did you get my bag?

Olive: yeah! What happened? Where are you?

Me: I am so sorry. I had to leave school because the vice principle almost caught me and Alec and we had to run. So we got in his car and left.
