"Regina, can we talk?" a fifteen-years-old Emma asked speeding up her pace so she could catch up with Regina.
"Not now. I have someplace to be and if I don't go now I'll be late," Regina replied trying to tell Emma off.
"Why don't you talk to me, Regina?! What have I done? We always talked about everything and now you stopped talking to me just like that?" Emma yelled, tired of being ignored by Regina.
"Emma just stop! Don't you see I don't want to befriend someone like you?" Regina said back trying to keep her voice down.
"Someone like me? What do you mean?" Emma asked confused.
"Someone who sees things, who hears things! You need help, Emma!" Regina yelled.
"What? Don't you believe me? But you use to when we were younger, what changed?"
"We were 5 Emma! Of course, I believed you but now I don't, that's just crazy and if you still believe that you can see and talk to ghosts you are really sick! I don't want to hang out with someone like you I need normal friends!" she shouted.
"Normal friends? Like Danielle, you mean?" Emma said in disbelief chasing Regina down the school hallway, when Regina didn't answer her she continued, "so what, I'm not normal? Then what am I?"
"A freak!" Regina yelled turning to face Emma. "You're a freak and I'm not going to be your friend anymore! So stop chasing me, stop texting and stop calling!" Regina yelled. Emma nodded tears falling down her cheeks.
"So that's it? Our friendship is over?"
"Yes, Emma," Regina said and walked away leaving a sobbing Emma behind.
______________
Regina had been waking up to the same dream for the past week. What she didn't understand is why she kept dreaming of something that happened 11 years ago. She hadn't thought about Emma since that day, well that's not exactly true, Emma is that kind of person that you can't forget. But after what happened 11 years ago Regina had never been the same. She started to hang out with Danielle who became her best friend and helped her with the end of her friendship with Emma, and Regina had been fine, until last week. Last week Danielle was coming back from a business trip and her plane crashed and now Regina was just like she was the day she ended her friendship with Emma Swan, alone.
Emma Swan hadn't been the same as well. Since that day she built up walls that she hadn't let down for anyone. The day she turned nineteen she was raped while was coming home from college, and from that awful incident, came one of the two things Emma Swan let her walls down for, her beautiful seven years old daughter, Allison Swan. The only other person Emma let her walls down for was her grandmother Allison. Yes, Emma named her daughter after her grandmother. Emma's grandmother was the one who raised her after her parents died when she was only a couple of months old, and she's also the only one who understands Emma. You see, Emma and her grandmother share a gift, they both have the ability to talk to the ones who are no longer with us.
There were only four people in Emma's life that knew about her gift. Her grandma who taught her everything about her gift and how to feel about it. Her daughter because she doesn't have secrets with her, she wants her daughter to be able to trust her. Then there was Regina, the one who she thought she could trust and who turned out to be just someone who broke her heart. And when that happened the last person who knows about her gift was there to help her to her feet. And that was Zelena Mills. Yep, Regina's sister was the one who helped Emma and is now her best friend. Zelena is Allison's godmother and owns a bar along with Emma, "The Wicked Swan". When Emma turned 23 she and Zelena decided to open the bar, and it has been a success!

"Pick up, pick up," Emma said while pacing around the room.
"Hello?"
"Z! Thank god you answered! I need a favour, I just got a call from the nursing home, my grandma was sent to the hospital. Can you please take care of Alli while I go check on her?" Emma said already packing a bag for Allison.
"Emma, of course, I'll keep my goddaughter. But I'm staying at my parents' house right now."
"Oh... Don't worry, all call a babysitter I'm sure I'll ge-"
"Emma, I'm only saying this so you know I'm not gonna stay with her alone. She welcome here and if she's not I'll leave to my place with her."
"Thanks, Z, you're the best," Emma said picking a sleeping Allison and bringing her to the car."Okay Z I'm leaving now I'll be there in 10"
"Okay see you, drive safe, love you"
"Love you too," Emma said before hanging up and driving towards Zelena's parents' house. Once she got there she parked the car picked Allison's backpack and Allison and walked to the front door. She knocked at the door and hear a 'coming' and soon the door opened. Zelena was the one who opened the door and pulled Emma into a hug carefully because she was still holding Allison.
"Hey girl, how are you?" Zelena asked Emma while picking Allison.
"I'm good, just worried about my grandma... I don't know what I'll do if I lose her..." Emma said tearing up.
"Don't think about that, she's a tough woman."
"Yeah I hope you're right, I gotta get going thanks for keeping Allison while I'm gone."
"Are you kidding? She's my goddaughter I love this girl," Zelena said kissing the top of Allison's head. Emma nodded and kissed Allison. "Drive safe, call me when you're with Mrs Nolan." Emma nodded.
"I will, and you know she doesn't like to be called that," Emma said and Zelena laughed going inside with Allison and closing the door. Emma got in the bug and start driving to New York where her grandmother had been hospitalized._____________
