I followed Ignis away from the others. He didn't say a word and I didn't ask. We just walked for a good 20 minutes or so. There were a few daemons around and we killed them, luckily they were easy. we continued walking until we found a boulder, we walked to the other side and sat down where no one could see us.
We both looked out to the setting sun.
I looked at Ignis and my heart skipped a beat. He was a very gorgeous man and the sun hitting him made it seem like I was in a dream. I looked back to the sunset and waited for him to say something.
"I understand its against the rules for us to be together, Its not safe for the royal family. Understand that they would fear that if we were all in danger and they would fear I would choose the man I love. Hell if I was the royal family I would feel the same way, but I cant help feel the way I do, especially about you" I said
He listened to every word I said
"I feel the same way, ever since you joined the Royal Guard, I was always eager to teach you new things. or whenever we went on hunts I always chose you, I love having yo around you make my day better. I want to be with you, I really do. but we need to do what we were hired to do and that's protect the royal family for as long as we can. we have to put our feelings aside and do what we have to do" he said
"I understand" I said
"Its killing me to say this to you" he said
"You are right the King needs us, so does Noctis. they come first, I wont go against the rules just for my own happiness." I said a few tears falling down my face
His hand went to my face and his thumb cleared the tears from my eyes.
He grabbed me and pulled me into one of his famous hugs. I always felt safe in his arms and I was always happy to be there.
Ignis and I sat there for a while, holding me close until the sun went down.
"shall we head back and make camp?" he asked
"Can I help you cook?" I asked
"Of course" he said
"Lets head back" I said
we jumped off the boulder and headed back to the garage. He grabbed my hand and we walked like that for a while. he let go of my hand once we were close enough to the garage.
"Where were you two?" asked Gladeo
"We were hunting, looking for new ingredients" said Ignis
Gladeo looked at me
"I found some stuff to put in to your cup noodles" I said
I knew he would be excited for this
"Awesome" he said
"Shall we set up camp?" asked Ignis
"Yeah lets set up" said Gladeo
The four of us began to set up, Prompto and Gladeo on the tent and chairs. Ignis and I were cooking. The rest of the night went by smoothly and we all crashed in the tent. I laid between Ignis and Gladeo. Both Prompto and Gladeo were fast asleep so Ignis and I talked quietly until I fell asleep to his gorgeous voice.
