Morning sickness was not getting any easier and hiding it from the king was definitely the worst. You try not throwing up when you are in the middle of the king having a speech and you can't leave until he dismisses you. Ignis could tell I was going to throw up so he told the king I had come down with the flu and I needed rest. The King let me leave and he continued with his speech. I felt terrible and I felt lousy. I practically ran to m room to throw up in peace. Once I was done I put cold water on my face and went back into the bedroom.
"I know your pregnant" said the king
"Excuse me sir?" I asked
"I know you are pregnant, I know the signs. see my late wife had the same symptoms with Noctis" he said walking around my room
"How far along are you?" he asked
"A month or so" I said
Ignis came into the room to see us. He stopped in the door and had a worried look on his face.
"Ignis why didn't you tell me?" asked the king
"I'm sorry sir" he said
"You can tell me anything" the king said
I nodded and looked out the window
"Sir to be honest I am scared, I am scared because of how our world is, I mean can we raise a baby with the Daemons running around? What if I'm not a good mother? what if something happens to Ignis or you how will I be able to live with myself?" I asked
"Nothing is going to happen, we have plenty of guards to take care of each other. You and Ignis will make amazing parents. Storm you will be amazing" the king said
"Plus first time parents are always nervous, I know I am" Ignis said
"M wife and I when we found out we were expecting, we were ecstatic, but we realized it was going to be no easy task raising a boy in this environment. But once the he was in the world all our worries disappeared and we could have asked for a better son" he said
"It could be my hormones playing a part" I said
"Could be" he said
"We both truly believe that you will make an amazing mother" Ignis said
He walked over to me and gave me a hug. I wrapped my arms around his waist and we just stood there for a while.
"Ill leave you two alone" said the king leaving
"Stupid hormones" I said wiping my eyes
Ignis laughed and kissed my forehead
"I will always be there for you" he said
I smiled and pulled him in for another hug
