I woke up the next morning to an empty bed. I looked around but I couldn't find Santiago anywhere. I head outside and I see Santiago sitting down." Hey what are you doing here so early" i said rapping my hands around his shoulders." Nothing. I just couldn't sleep anymore" he said grabbing my arm pulling me to sit on his lap." Whys that"." Because today's your first day you're going out to the sea". I didn't say anything." Your first day as a drug trafficker"." Sounds exciting doesn't it"." Hahahahah so funny babe"." No I'm serious. I always wonder how'd it be to be one of them you know"." Well now you're going to know tonight"." Good" I said smiling at him and giving him a kiss.

*12:00am*

" they have to be here soon. They're one hour late already" Santiago said. I Was sitting down waiting for the other traffickers but they were late. Really late." Ah here they come. Don't forget your tying them up when I done loading them and to check the raider"." Okay". They tied the boats together to make it easier to load. Santiago started to load them while I checked the raider." Anything"." Nope". They were finished and they left as I tied them up." Come on. Here hold on okay I don't want you to fall off like lalo did okay" he said as I grabbed on to the bars." Ready"." Ready" I said. He started the boat and we left on full speed. The water was splashing over my face since we were going extremely fast. I looked over to him and he gave me a thumbs up. He signaled me to look at the raider. I looked at it and there was one green dot." THERES ONE DOT" I yelled over the noise of the water and motor. I looked at it again and there was another one." THERES TWO DOTS". He looked at the raider and looked around the ocean. A few minutes later I started to see helicopters and boat guards chasing us." Hold on tight babe. This can get really bad". I hold on to the bars tighter but I felt like I was going to fall. The water was splashing all over my face and I could barely keep my eyes open. I kept looking back to try not to get water inside my eyes. I saw the helicopter he was really close to us. His light was blinding me. There was boat on each side if us. I was scared." WE ARE NOT GOING TO MAKE IT"." YES WE ARE. WE ARE ALMOST NEAR THE SHORE"." BUT THERES REALLY BIG ROCKES THERE. WE'll CRASH"." WE WONT I PROMISE. ThEYLL LEAVE US ONCE THEY SEE US GET NEAR". I kept holding on hoping Santiago was right. I looked ahead and I could see the shore. Once we got a bit closer the boats and helicopter left. Santiago slowed the boat down. We got to the shore and got off. " are you okay"." Yes I'm fine"." Better get use to that. Cause that's what you'll deal with from now on" Santiago said unloading the drug. I was just glad we were safe now.

* 2 months later *

I was at the airport waiting for Jadah to arrive. I was really excited to see her. She was my best friend ever since I got here." Why are they taking so long" I asked Santiago." Be patient babe. She'll be here any minute"." I hope so". I waited for another 10 minutes when I saw her plane land." She's here" I said." KARLA!". I turned around and saw Jadah running towards me with her luggage in one hand." Jadah!". I ran to her and hugged her tight." Omg I've missed you so much"." Me too". She looked at me and smiled. " SANTIAGO!"." Hey Jadah!". They exchanged hugs" here I'll take your luggage and I'll leave you too to talk". Santiago said grabbing jadah's suitcase. " oh I forgot to tell you something"." What"." Look". I looked over to where she was pointing. I saw dris." What the hell is he doing here!"." He said he had to come with me"." That's bullshit!"." I know but whatever let's go". She said taking my hand. We got out the airport and headed to the car. Santiago drove us back home and took jadah's luggage up stairs to her room. Jadah sat outside while I went for some drinks and food." Now in yamilla everything got worse. Since I was the women of half of the guys that go there they slap my ass" she said slapping her butt." The only difference is that it's for free now". I couldn't help but laugh to hear Jadah saying that." It's not funny Mexican girl". She walked over to the table." My son is starting to grow up and I don't want him to find out what I've been going through all this time...so I thought I would move here. What do you think". When he's piloting his boat he looks so handsome to sure of himself. The water is splashing all over your face and you feel so free that you want to yell out that your in love"." Your crazy in love Karla"." I'm not sure if what I feel for Santiago is called love". I sat next her." Santiago and Armando are really different but at the same time there the same. Santiago is smart like Armando he's cold for negotiation and he's always on focus even if he's all stressed out....in bed there different"." Hahahahah okayy"." Santiago is passionate, sweet and is gentle with me. He's always looking out to not hurt me. He always tries to control himself. Armando was much more fun but Santiago is super sweet with me"." And what's the differences"." Armando had a lot of friends. He was always out at parties and he never made plans for the future." I said sighing." Santiago is quiet. He doesn't have a lot of friends. He has dreams...nice ones too. He talks about his boat how he wants to travel the entire world with me and show our children how to Pilot one too"." Children!"." Yes he wants to have children with me. A lot too"." OMG I have goosebumps". She said pointing to her arm." But he doesn't like when I drink tequila and smoke but he respects me" I couldn't help the tears spill out my eyes." I'm worth something for him. A Mexican girl who doesn't have nothing and for that man I'm worth something"." You should see yourself when you talk about him your eyes illuminate" Jadah said. I gave her a smile. "I could have loved Santiago with craziness but he was late. Armando ruined all my dreams" I said crying." Don't say that Karla don't say that you'll make me cry too"." I wish I could believe that this what I'm feeling would last for ever. I wish I could tell him I love him from inside my heart. I wish that his hands and lips and his whole body would erase the memories but it can't. I wish the two of us had time for this because something inside me tells me that this isn't going to last forever. That everything around me isn't going to stay here forever" I mumbled between my tears. I looked at Jadah and I knew she was going to start crying too. " Enough crying. Let's go eat". We went inside and started to prepare some food. We took the food outside to eat and Santiago was already there. He looked really quiet but I didn't pay much attention. We all sat and ate. By the time we finished Jadah grabbed the empty plates and took them inside. I got up and looked at Santiago." I'm so glad that jadah's here. I've missed her so much". I said grabbing the cups to take them inside. He got up from his chair and walked to me. He put his arm around my waist and pulled me in for a kiss. It was a rough but also passionate kiss." What was that for" I asked when I parted away from him for some air." Do you like that"." Of Course I do". He picked me up and laid me down on the table. He was being really Rough and that wasn't like him." Do you like that huh do you!"." Santiago w-"." Who does it better huh "." What are you talki-". At this point he was being really rough and I couldn't take it anymore." Who did it better me or Armando"." WHAT!" I said pushing him off me but he wouldn't let me go. I pushed him off and walked back a bit to stay away from him." IM DONE THAT YOU ARE ALWAYS COMPARING ME TO A DEAD PERSON. YOU EITHER CHOOSE TO STAY WITH ME OR THE DEAD PEROSN". I couldn't believe what he was saying. "REALLY! YOUR MAKING ME CHOOSE YOU OVER A DEAD PERSON. WOW WELL THATS EASY ILL CHOOSE THE DEAD PEROSN THEN". He got really angry and was about to hit me but I pushed him back. " WHAT DID YOU THINK SANTIAGO THAT MY LIFE STARTS AND ENDS IN YOUR BED?! WELL YOUR WRONG. ARMANDO WOULD HAVE NEVER ASKED WHO WAS BETTER BECAUSE HE KNEW HE WAS THE BEST". I was going to walk away from him but he pulled me back from my jawline." THATS A FUCKING LIE!" I had enough and I slapped him. I turned around to walk to the door and head inside to pack my stuff. He pulled me from behind stopping me from leaving." Stop!" I said trying to push his arms away from me." Where are you going!"." I'm leaving!"." No don't leave me!!". He said pulling me towards his chest"." Let. Me. Go!" I said through gritted teeth." No!!". He hugged me tight for me not to go but I was furious. " don't leave me" he said calmed." Let me go...please". He let me go and he was crying." I'm sorry I just get so jealous sometimes"." Why would you be jealous of a dead person"." Because you always talk about him"." No I don't"." Yes you do. With Jadah". That's when it hit me. He probably heard the conversation between us." You heard me"." Yes I did"." Santiago I- don't know what to tell you. All of this just gets to me sometimes but I don't love Armando anymore i love you"." I do too but promise me that you'll never mention him again"." I promise". He kissed me and I kissed him back. " I love you" he said looking down to me." I...love you too"." Awwww" I heard Jadah say." I wish I had someone to love". We laughed at Jadah. She sometimes couldn't control her feelings." How about I take you out to dinner tonight" he asked." I liked that". I said giving him a sweet kiss.
