What If
What if time just stopped; How long do you think we would have until it restarted itself? What if there were only nights and no more days; Do you think you would sleep? What if there was no more race; Do you think the world would seek unity? What if we were able to see heaven; Do you think, you would be able to enter in? What if you had to redo life; Would you do it the same way? What if the only way to be healed was through truth and understanding; Would you seek it? What if you were blind and couldn't see; What do you think the world would look like? What if the music only played when you did right; Would you ever sin?
What if you were always perfect; Would you want to make mistakes and learn from them? What if walls could talk; Do you think they would tell all? What if your pain was never really pain at all; Would you still feel? What if the house you spent your whole life building were to crumble; Would you rebuild it? What if death was just a simple way to come back to life; Would you die? What if the poor went to being rich; Would you still walk by them like a stranger? What if our hearts are always cold and beat only once a day; Would you warm it up and let the cold out? What if life was meant to be a choice and we were only the choices other people could make; Do you think they'd let you live?
What if you had the power to make changes, but only with your mind; Would you use it? What if there was no money, and the only way to survive is through one another; Would you treat people differently? What if you could make one wish; What would you wish for?
My mind is full of all these, 'What Ifs'. It spins in circles, underlining what I can't control. There will always be someone somewhere, thinking about the what ifs. Though, if we knew everything that was going to happen, what would we live for? What if we stop asking questions and just live?
