Blue Midnight
Stars, there's so many of them waiting for me to wish upon; Shimmering brightly. What do I wish for? How many wishes will come true if I close my eyes tightly? The night air whispers through my ears making my wishes that much more hopeful. Blue is the color of the night. It's color changes as the night gets darker. Midnight falls too quickly for me to lay in a bed alone with a pilliow that's losing its fluff. Oh my night is long and Drawn out. I can't touch what my heart feels or wants to feel. Efforts have become my failures. Leaning in to grab my cover, I have to keep myself from being cold. Temperatures seem to rise as the night draws in.
Blue midnight is not a color I would normally choose. I'd have the night yellow: happy and full of many dreams. Laying awake so full of energy from the night air, I'm falling asleep just enough to wish I had warmth from another body. Shooting stars going back and forth seeking truth but honoring the nights air, taking deep Breathes I become at ease taken In by dark, but opening up to the light.
Silence takes over the entire universe. When midnight falls, not a single sound to be heard from miles to miles. Tossing and turning my body fills up with chills lingering me into a complete shock, taking each chill bump and turning it into a full rash. I can't hold out the night much longer with fears of always spending midnight alone cold and afraid. Where are you ? How many more stars must I see before I find the right one to wish upon, making you a reality?
Blue... I hate the color of the night no matter what I just can't seem to get you right! Right here where you should be telling me just how much you need me. Is this just a mere figment? Can you be obtainable one day? Tears roll off my bare skin as I prepare to finally go to sleep. I'm ready now, you can turn to day now. When I wake up it will be light. I'll beat midnights ass once again. Not a single regret. Will I have you? You call me crazy or just plain dumb? You're just mad because I got you where you couldn't get me, to live through your midnight.
Blue sky, you're only dark once a day, but my light shines yellow through all your dismay!! Go ahead now come back; I'll be waiting on you just this time. I'll lose no sleep. I won't need no covers to keep me,you will be the one to seek me! Blue midnight, oh, I forgot it's still yellow outside. I'll see you later on tonight, don't forget to bring the mornings yellow light!!
