When Rafael and I came home after the little cruise we went on. We talked about random things. He made me laugh so much, I'm glad he came up with the idea, I had so much fun! When Rafael unlocked the door to our house we found the kids sleeping on the couch. Star was laying on the couch, hugging Marco's waist, and her head rested on his lower abdomen. Marco was sitting while his head laid back. He was snoring, and I couldn't help but smile at them. They looked so peaceful, they looked so cute like that. Rafael was smiling as well, I bet he thought of the same thing. When Star came to planet Earth wanting to live in our home, I couldn't be any happier. I wanted Marco to make a new friend, someone he can be close with. I'm happy that they get along so well but, judging by what I was looking at. I don't think they'll be just friends for much longer. I'll keep my eye on them, just in case. I whispered goodnight to them and Rafael did the same. We headed upstairs to our room, Rafael and I kissed each other saying goodnight before going to sleep.

I slowly opened my eyes, groaning a bit. I scratched the top of my head because of how much it was itching. I tried to get up off the couch, but I couldn't. I looked down to find Star holding on to my waist, hugging me tightly. I was shocked, wondering how we ended up like this. I felt my cheeks get warm, I couldn't help but blush. I didn't mind it though, she looked so peaceful sleeping, she looked like she was really comfortable too. I started to stroke her hair, smiling at her. I kept doing that for a while until I realized that I had to get off the couch somehow. The only way of doing that is to wake up Star. As much as I didn't want to wake her up I had to. I couldn't stay here forever right? I looked down at Star sighing a bit. I shook her gently a few times before she finally woke up.

I fluttered my eyes open, groaning a bit. I looked up at Marco smiling at me, that's when I realised the position we were in.

"Oh my god, I'm sorry Marco!" I let him go sitting up straight.
"It's okay Star, I don't mind."
"Are you sure?"
"Yup." He gives me that smile I love so much.
"Marco I don't wanna make it awkward between us."
"Star you're my best friend, nothing you do will ever change that." I blush a little by his kind words.
"Thanks Marco you're the best."
"We're besties aren't we?" Marco said.
"Always." I get up from the couch.
I pull him up from the couch, giving me a confused look.
"What is-" I cut him off by pulling him into a tight hug.
"Thank you for always being there for me when I needed you, I don't know what I would do without you.
That's when he hugs me back. "Star I'll always be there for you, no matter what happens. I care about you more than you think Star, you've changed my life for the better."

I backed up a little to look at his face, I was so shocked and happy that he said that. I was shocked because I didn't know he thought of me, the same way I had thought of him. I know he meant it in a friendly way. I couldn't help but blush by his words, they really touched me.

"Marco..." I said still shocked. He was blushing too
"Yea Star?" He said nervously.
"Promise me something?"
"Sure, as long as it is nothing gross, or something that has to do with death." He chuckles.
"No you buttface, stop messing with me." I pout, I swear he loves to tease me.
"Okay, okay."
"Promise me that we'll always be together, that we'll always have each other's back."
"Of course, I'll always be there Star. Why would I turn my back on you now?"
"I guess I'm just afraid that you'll get bored of me. I thought maybe you'd want a new bestie."
"Are you kidding me? Star no one can replace you, you're the coolest girl I know. You understand me better than anyone else."

When he said that, I swear my heart skipped a beat. I don't know what it was, but I just ignored it. I know Marco and I are always having fun, whether it's going on crazy adventures, fighting monsters, or just hanging out. Just something about his words made me hug him tighter. It was so comforting, not the hugs that I love, but the words he had spoken to me... It made me feel whole, I started to feel funny and weird. I shook off the feeling, he's my bestie and nothing more. I care about him a lot. He wouldn't dare take his eyes off me, I looked around the living room trying not to look at him.
